Story
Archie — Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold Meet Archie, a stunning 68 pound Giant Schnauzer with a sleek black coat and a touch of brown around his muzzle that gives him a distinguished, wise look. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart — calm, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s loyal best friend. Archie loves car rides and will happily be your co pilot wherever you go. He’s working on his leash manners and learning not to jump up when he’s excited — he’s eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. He’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful fit for a family or anyone who enjoys a peaceful, friendly companion. Archie’s happiest when he has a yard to explore, where he can sniff, wander, and take in the world at his own pace. But what Archie loves most is attention and snuggles — he’ll lean in close, rest his head on your lap, and remind you that unconditional love really does exist. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle soul who’ll fill your days with warmth and quiet joy, Archie is ready to ride home with you. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
At just over 10 pounds, Ivy Pearl is a tiny senior sweetheart who has mastered the art of enjoying life's simple pleasures. Part Schnauzer, part Poodle, and entirely adorable, she's looking for a peaceful home where she can spend her days napping, sunbathing, snacking, and keeping her favorite people company. When Ivy Pearl first arrived in foster care, she was a little shy and unsure. Once she settled in, though, her delightful personality emerged. If she'd like a snack, a lift onto the couch, or a little extra attention, she'll stare at you and stomp her tiny feet until you get the message. It's impossible not to smile. Ivy Pearl loves being near her people and will happily follow you from room to room, always keeping an eye on what you're doing. She's not demanding—she simply enjoys the comfort of a calm, steady presence nearby while she relaxes. A true retired lady, Ivy Pearl's favorite place is her dog bed, especially if it's sitting in a sunny spot. She takes her naps seriously and has perfected the art of blanket arranging, carefully digging and nesting until everything is just right before settling in with a contented sigh. While toys don't interest her, Ivy Pearl enjoys short walks where she can sniff to her heart's content. She walks beautifully on a leash and is happy to take life at her own pace. Ivy Pearl may bark at unfamiliar people or unusual sights at first, but it's mostly a brave little act. Give her a moment to investigate, and she'll quickly reveal the gentle, sweet dog underneath. Loud noises don't bother her at all—it's mysterious things like suitcases and people carrying large objects that earn a second look. One of her cutest quirks is her collection of sleepy little grunts, especially during bedtime potty trips. And despite having no teeth, she can inhale a bowl of wet food in record time before looking up hopefully for seconds. Mostly house-trained, crate-trained, and wonderfully easy to live with, Ivy Pearl is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the quieter side of life. If you're looking for a sweet little shadow and an expert nap partner, Ivy Pearl is ready to claim a spot in your heart—and the sunniest spot in your home. ❤️🐾 *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* ---- Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape.

Story
Jesse Cole is a gentle, thoughtful girl who is quietly blossoming more every day. While she can be a little timid when faced with new people or unfamiliar situations, she warms up quickly and is already showing a sweet, affectionate personality that makes it easy to fall in love with her. One of Jesse Cole's favorite things is simply being near her people. Whether she's curled up beside you on the couch enjoying pets or following you from room to room, she finds comfort in companionship. In fact, she's become quite the little shadow, happily keeping her favorite humans in sight throughout the day. If you get up, chances are Jesse Cole will be right there to see what adventure comes next. This lovely girl has a calm, easygoing nature and seems happiest enjoying life's simple pleasures. She loves exploring the yard, taking leisurely walks, and quietly observing the world around her. While toys haven't captured her interest yet, she's discovering new things every day as her confidence continues to grow. Jesse Cole is also a wonderfully polite houseguest. She appears to be house-trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. Even better, she's made sure her foster family knows exactly when she needs to go outside—her signature potty howl is impossible to miss! You'll never have to guess what she's trying to tell you. Though she's currently taking it easy during heartworm treatment, Jesse Cole has adapted beautifully to a relaxed routine. She gets along respectfully with other dogs and has shown excellent manners around her older canine housemate, never pushing for attention or play when it isn't wanted. Like many sensitive dogs, Jesse Cole appreciates reassurance and can be startled by the dark or unfamiliar situations. But with patience, kindness, and a little time, her brave side continues to emerge. Watching her gain confidence and learn that the world is a safe place has been a joy. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, quiet devotion, and a talent for staying right by your side, Jesse Cole may be the perfect match. She's ready to find a family who will help her continue her journey and show her just how loved she can be. ❤️🐾

Story
We were saved from a rural shelter, and now we’re living our best lives! We’re a group of happy, playful boys who LOVE to wrestle with each other. Tackling, pouncing, rolling—you name it, we’re doing it! That’s how we got our names… after pro wrestlers! You might catch us leaping off the bed onto a brother while another one cheers us on from the sidelines—it’s all part of the fun! We keep the matches going with zoomies around the yard, practicing our best moves and showing off our goofy personalities. We also love toys—especially the crinkly ones… those don’t stand a chance once we pounce! We’re curious, adventurous, and always ready to explore something new, but we still love being close to our people. After all the action, we’re ready to wind down with snuggles, kisses, and cuddles. We’re the perfect mix of wild little wrestlers and sweet, loving boys just looking for our forever families.
