Story
Meet Alida — an 11-year-old, 11-pound Schnauzer/Yorkie mix with a beautiful black and tan coat and a tender, soulful presence. Alida was found as a stray in very rough condition, carrying a large mammary tumor on her underside, but despite everything she’s endured, she still has love to give. Alida is a quiet, gentle girl who prefers a calm environment with soft voices and slow, respectful interactions. She has some vision impairment, so she does best in a peaceful home where she can move confidently and feel safe. She enjoys having a cozy spot to rest and appreciates affection on her own terms. This sweet senior isn’t demanding — she’s simply looking for comfort, kindness, and a patient person who understands that love doesn’t have to be loud. If you have a quiet home and a compassionate heart, Alida would be grateful to spend her days feeling safe and cared for. 🖤🐾 Adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Daisey Mae is a precious seven-year-old terrier mix with a beautiful brown coat and a tiny frame — she weighs only about 8 pounds! She has been spayed, is up to date on all of her vaccinations, and is microchipped, making her ready for her forever home. She prefers to be the only dog in the home, as she truly enjoys soaking up all the love and attention for herself. Daisey Mae has learned how to use the doggie door and is a good eater. She is still working on perfecting her house training and will need a patient, consistent home to help her continue improving. More than anything, Daisey Mae loves to be held and treasures human companionship over dog companionship. She would thrive in a calm home where she can be someone’s little shadow and devoted lap companion. Story
Meet silly Lancelot, a 12 year old, 16 lbs, schnauzer/yorkie mix. He was picked up as a stray in San Antonio. His favorite thing to do is to cuddle with you at night! Lancelot is great with other dogs. While he hasn’t been around cats, his foster home thinks he wouldn’t mind a cat sibling. Lancelot is housetrained and even knows how to use the doggy door! He is a lower energy, easy pup. Lancelot is blind but learned his way around his foster home with no problem. Lancelot would be best in a home with older children due to being blind. While he no longer does this in his foster home, Lancelot would become nippy when picked up, as it startled and scared him. He might need time and patience to adjust to his forever home, like he did with his foster home. With love and time, Lancelot is happy & so sweet. He can’t wait for a family that will give him gentleness & kindness. Lancelot is fully vetted and ready to meet you! Story
Pluto is 8-1/5 yrs. old schanuzer and weighs 14 lbs. He needs a home that understands he will take lot's of time to trust humans, he will allow you to sit beside him and give ear and back scratches once you have earned his trust. He does great with other dogs and will need at least one other pup his size or smaller in the home. He will also play catch me if you can when we need to pick him up or take him somewhere. He is hesitant to go outside, so we make a game of it, "hiding" behind the glass patio door and he will race past and in to the yard. He's not fond of being groomed, no mani/pedi's for him if he can help it. Pluto's adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Sammy Wonder is a 4-year-old Schnauzer–Poodle mix weighing in at a perfect 20 pounds, and he’s every bit as confident as his name suggests. Found roaming the Porter area, Sammy’s journey led him to Camo Rescue—and being a stray hasn’t fazed him one bit. From the moment he arrived, Sammy has been self-assured, curious, and ready to take on whatever comes next. Sammy is doing fantastic with his potty training, always keeping his kennel clean and tidy, and he’s also showing off great leash manners. He’s highly food motivated, which makes him a wonderful candidate for continued training and learning new skills. Sammy prefers to be the star of the show and does best as the only dog in the home, as he doesn’t get along well with other dogs and can show dog aggression. In the right environment, though, he’ll shine as a loyal, confident companion. If you’re looking for a smart, spirited pup who’s ready to be your one-and-only, Sammy Wonder might just be your perfect match. 💛🐾 Adoption fee is: $350 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract.
