Story
Pluto is 8-1/5 yrs. old schanuzer and weighs 14 lbs. He needs a home that understands he will take lot's of time to trust humans, he will allow you to sit beside him and give ear and back scratches once you have earned his trust. He does great with other dogs and will need at least one other pup his size or smaller in the home. He will also play catch me if you can when we need to pick him up or take him somewhere. He is hesitant to go outside, so we make a game of it, "hiding" behind the glass patio door and he will race past and in to the yard. He's not fond of being groomed, no mani/pedi's for him if he can help it. Pluto's adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Story
Meet silly Lancelot, a 12 year old, 16 lbs, schnauzer/yorkie mix. He was picked up as a stray in San Antonio. His favorite thing to do is to cuddle with you at night! Lancelot is great with other dogs. While he hasn’t been around cats, his foster home thinks he wouldn’t mind a cat sibling. Lancelot is housetrained and even knows how to use the doggy door! He is a lower energy, easy pup. Lancelot is blind but learned his way around his foster home with no problem. Lancelot would be best in a home with older children due to being blind. While he no longer does this in his foster home, Lancelot would become nippy when picked up, as it startled and scared him. He might need time and patience to adjust to his forever home, like he did with his foster home. With love and time, Lancelot is happy & so sweet. He can’t wait for a family that will give him gentleness & kindness. Lancelot is fully vetted and ready to meet you! Story
Meet Cruz — a big-hearted, high-energy powerhouse ready to find his perfect match. Cruz is a striking Giant Schnauzer/Poodle mix with a personality just as bold as his looks. At nearly 2 years old, he’s full of life, love, and enthusiasm for the world around him. One of his absolute favorite things? Car rides. Whether it’s a quick trip around the block or a longer adventure, Cruz is always ready to hop in and go. Cruz is still working on his manners, and due to his size, strength, and high energy level, he’ll need continued training and structure. He has a bite history, so he is looking for a responsible, experienced owner who understands how to provide clear leadership, consistency, and guidance. With the right person “at the helm,” Cruz has the potential to grow into an incredible companion. At this time, Cruz would do best as the only dog in the home so he can focus on his training and building a strong relationship with his owner. A home without small children is recommended given his strength and ongoing training needs. The good news: Cruz is already set up for success in many ways — he’s neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a loyal, energetic companion and are ready to invest time in training and structure, Cruz could be your perfect match. He’s got all the raw ingredients — he just needs the right person to help him shine. Adoption fee is: $500 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Meet Beauregard Beauregard is a distinguished 10-year-old silver Schnauzer weighing around 20 pounds, with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. This sweet senior boy has a calm, quiet nature that makes him the perfect companion for a peaceful home. Beauregard is the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to rest, a kind voice, and someone to love. He enjoys relaxing by your side and brings a comforting presence wherever he goes. His easygoing personality makes him an ideal match for someone looking for a low-key, devoted companion. He does get along with other dogs and cats. With a consistent environment and a little patience, he gets around just fine and takes comfort in familiar surroundings. If you have a soft spot for senior dogs and want to give a deserving pup a loving place to spend his golden years, Beauregard is ready to return that love tenfold. Story
Meet Professor Quigley! At 7 years old and 16 pounds, Professor Quigley is a distinguished little gentleman with a story of resilience and hope. This handsome white Schnauzer mix was found as a stray, and when he first arrived, he was carrying more than just the weight of being homeless—his coat was severely matted and neglected, a sign that life hadn't been easy for him. After a much-needed grooming and plenty of TLC, Professor Quigley has been transformed on the outside, but he's still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. He is a very timid boy who takes time to trust new people and situations. Patience and kindness are the keys to his heart. He does have some anxiety when left alone and may bark, so apartment living would not be a good fit for him. The wonderful thing about Professor Quigley is what happens once he feels comfortable. Beneath that shy exterior is a sweet, affectionate soul who simply wants to be loved. When he warms up to you, he'll happily soak up gentle pets and attention, showing just how much he's been longing for a family of his own. Professor Quigley is good with calm dogs and cats, and he can peacefully coexist with them in the right environment. That said, he would also be perfectly happy as the only pet, as he truly prefers human companionship above all else. Once he bonds with his people, that’s where his heart stays. Professor Quigley is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence at his own pace. If you have a soft spot for the quiet ones and believe that the best relationships are worth waiting for, Professor Quigley may be the perfect companion for you. This charming little professor has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the love, security, and second chance he deserves. Adoption fee is: $400 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable.
