Story
Meet Quill! 💙🐾 Quill is a 4-year-old, 21-pound Schnauzer with a shy nature and a warm, hopeful heart. He’s the most cheerful of the three brothers who were found dumped together—matted, scared, and abandoned… but despite his past, Quill’s gentle little spirit still shines through. Quill is wonderful with other dogs and has a very soft, polite approach when interacting. He especially enjoys calm female dogs and does best with canine friends who aren’t into rough-and-rowdy play, as that can make him uncomfortable. He would thrive with a respectful dog companion or in a peaceful home where play stays gentle. He loves cuddles, kisses, and being close to his people. Quill bonds deeply — and because of that, he does experience separation anxiety. He feels safest when he has structure and routine, and he must be crated when left alone. His crate is his comfort zone, and he settles well in it when his family is away. Quill is still building confidence in the world around him. He’s cautious when exploring a new space, such as transitioning between different floor textures (like carpet to tile), stepping over thresholds, or climbing down from furniture. He’ll need a patient adopter who can guide him calmly, avoid rushing him, and celebrate the small victories as he learns that new surfaces are safe. Once he gains familiarity in his new environment, he thrives! ✅ Crate trained — sleeps great in his crate and does best crated when left alone. 🚦 Mostly house trained — will need support adjusting to a new routine. Quill is going to thrive in a calm, predictable home with loving people who understand that sensitive dogs just need a little extra reassurance. Once he bonds with you, you’ll have the sweetest, most devoted little shadow by your side. 💙

Story
Matilda is an 8-year-old, 37-pound sweetheart who has spent her entire life living as what we call an “owned stray.” She technically belonged to someone, but lived her life out on the streets, having litter after litter of puppies and doing her best to protect them. Now it’s finally Matilda’s turn to be the baby — to be safe, loved, and cared for the way she always deserved. Despite the hard life she’s lived, Matilda is incredibly sweet and gentle. She loves people and gets along wonderfully with all other dogs. Her spirit is soft and loving, and you can just tell she’s ready for a peaceful life where she doesn’t have to worry anymore. The thing that breaks our hearts the most? This precious girl was posted for free before rescuers stepped in to save her. No more street life. No more babies. Just love, comfort, and a family who will cherish her.

Story
Sweet Cheeks is a 3-year-old, 20-pound Schnauzer mix with the sweetest little face and the gentlest soul. This lovely girl came to us hot off the streets after she and her puppies were found stray and covered in fleas, clearly having lived a a very rough life. Despite everything she’s been through, Sweet Cheeks is calm, happy, and incredibly loving. She has such a soft, easygoing personality and seems so grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. Those days of the “ruff” life are officially behind her, and now she’s ready for the life she truly deserves — a cozy home, loving humans, and a safe place to finally relax and just be a dog.
