He thrives on structure, clear communication, and a patient home that understands that dogs, like humans, sometimes need guidance to feel safe and confident. With consistency and support, he blossoms—showing just how smart, devoted, and loving he truly is. He’s looking for a family willing to see him for who he is, not just what he’s been through. In return, he promises unwavering loyalty, endless tail wags, and plenty of tippy taps in the forever home he deserves. Chopper will do well in homes with children. Meet Jimmy! This sweet boy was found running the streets of TJ with his mom looking for food and shelter. Jimmy is very sweet but shy. Jimmy is around 9 months old and weighs around 45 lbs. He is still learning his new environment and sounds. He is leash, crate, and house trained. He loves romping around in a yard and going on new adventures such as to the dog beach! He easily makes friends with new canine companions. He’ll sleep in his crate at night after he gets all his playful energy out! He is still a bit skeptical of the outside world, while treats are a great motivator. Jimmy is looking for a calm and patient family that will allow him to continue to gain confidence. Jimmy is friendly with kids, dogs, and even coexists with cats. Could Jimmy be the pup for you?

We first met him when he was having a tough time at the local shelter—he was withdrawn and not eating. Since coming into our care, Larry has blossomed into a happy, playful companion who loves being around people. During his time with us, Larry was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. While the shelter considered euthanasia, we saw a different future for him. He hasn’t shown any signs of discomfort, and our vet believes he could enjoy many healthy, symptom-free years ahead. We chose to adopt Larry so he could have the chance he deserves. Now, we’re helping him find a forever family who will appreciate his sweet nature and zest for life. Larry is a resilient, loving dog who will make a wonderful addition to the right home. If you’re looking for a loyal friend with a heart full of joy, Larry might be the perfect match for you!

Brought to TBL in June 2024 during the airlift out of KSAR in Kabul. Eventually Dynamite's leg had to be removed as it couldn't be saved. Being a tripod doesn't slow him down in the least. He's nimble, fast, playful and active. Despite having only 3 legs, Dynamite will make a great walking or hiking companion. This guy has an eternal smile on his face and makes friends immediately with people he meets. He's fun-loving and playful with an enormously happy disposition! No one can have a bad day with Dynamite in the house. Best Home: A active couple or family who's invested in training their dog to teach him the ropes of American life.
