Story
Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match. To learn more about McCoy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We transport from our rescue base in Nashville up the northeastern corridor of states to approved adopters. McCoy is ready to find his forever family — maybe it’s you. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 12, 2026, 9:03 pm

Story
Meet Liberty — a beautiful little soul learning how wonderful life can be.  At 4.5 months old and 26 pounds, Liberty is a Golden Doodle/Beagle mix with the softest coat and the gentlest heart. But her story didn’t start gently. Born outside in late October, she spent her earliest months exposed to unpredictable weather and very little stability. Because of that rough beginning, Liberty is still building her confidence — and as of 2/10/26, we’d say she’s making steady, beautiful progress every single day. In just 10 days in foster care, we’ve watched her begin to blossom. She may still be a little shy at first, but look into her eyes and you’ll see it immediately — this girl wants love. She wants connection. She wants to belong. Liberty will quietly sit next to you on the couch, gently leaning in. She’ll snuggle close wherever you are. And when you come home? She lights up — dancing with excitement and offering sweet kisses as her welcome-home celebration.   Liberty is also incredibly smart. With a Goldendoodle dad and a Heeler/Beagle mix mom, she inherited both brains and beauty. She has her dad’s soft, low-shedding coat, making her likely to be a non-shedder. Her fur is silky and stunning — naturally highlighted like she’s just stepped out of a salon. Her coloring is truly unique and eye-catching. In her foster home, Liberty plays beautifully with other dogs. She is submissive and will roll over on her back, showing her gentle, respectful nature. She has also been around children and does well with them. Her temperament is balanced — she enjoys running and playing outside, but she’s equally content curled up beside her people.   One of the most special things about Liberty is her sensitivity to those she loves. When her foster mom recently had a migraine, Liberty quietly snuggled up beside her, offering comfort without being asked. She has that intuitive, caring spirit that makes certain dogs truly unforgettable.   Liberty is expected to grow to around 40 pounds when fully grown. With a loving, patient, and supportive family, she is going to fully bloom into an incredible companion — loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to her people. She may have had a shaky start, but her future is bright. If you’re ready to give Liberty the forever home she deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Liberty is ready to write her next chapter — this time filled with love.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 11, 2026, 11:18 am

Story
Available for adoption! Good morning, Hal, here. I want to share with you my experience which has prepared me for a loving family and I hope if you are reading this you will feel compelled to consider adopting me! I heard my owner say it would be kinder to surrender me to the shelter. My question was kinder to whom! Luckily for me (and my fursister with the same condition) I heard that Ming's assistant was going to bring us north and work with us to help us recover what ever control might be possible. She took us to a specialist who said we suffered from neurological issues but that there was no conventional treatment. But that was not the end of our quest for help as we got remedies from the Homeopath and Ming's assistant would hold us close to comfort us and make it possible for us to eat the chicken & rice meals she prepared. The road to recovery was long but the unending support of Ming & his assistant continued. I am happy to report that our issues are nearly resolved. So if you have room in your heart & home for an awesome, precious boy please send an email to the Rescue (WOW.Rescue@yahoo.com) for information & an application. The unconditional love I will give you will be a great blessing! PS. Ming says I would be fine to be adopted by myself as he has taught me to be independent and Ming is always right. Meet Truffles! Adoption Fee: $549 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Three beautiful Great Pyrenees mix boys are as special as they come! Nougat, Truffles, and Béchamel are part of a litter of nine puppies who were brought into the shelter without their mama. One of our amazing team members stepped in and took these three home, lovingly bottle-feeding them around the clock and giving them the best possible start in life. Because they were bottle fed, these boys are incredibly affectionate, people-oriented, and love being held and cuddled. They are already showing the gentle, loving nature Great Pyrenees are known for—but don’t be fooled, they are going to be very big boys when fully grown! Truffles is the last pup available and is ready to go to his forever home. Just in time to fall in love with your new best friend. Large-breed experience and a commitment to raising a big, fluffy puppy into a well-mannered adult is important for these guys. If you’re ready for a lifetime of love, loyalty, and gentle giant cuddles, one of these sweet boys may be the perfect match for your family. Apply today! I can be met at our NY Adoption Event on Saturday February 14th from 11am to 1pm at Tractor Supply 1253 Route 311, Patterson, NY 12563. In case of inclement weather check our hours & events page the morning of the event to see if any changes have been made to time/location/date: https://pawsafe.org/events/ What a lineup! That sounds like a high-energy, high-intelligence household waiting to happen. Lab-Shepherd mixes (often called "Shepradors") are basically the "honor students" of the dog world—equally likely to learn a complex trick in five minutes or figure out exactly how to open the pantry door. At two months old, Nyx, Zeke, Jamill, Varrick, and Ardan are right at that "potato with legs" stage before the Shepherd legs really kick in. Meet the Crew Since you’ve given them such distinct names, they already sound like they have big personalities: • The Sophisticates: Ardan and Varrick sound like they should be wearing tiny bowties and discussing philosophy. • The Powerhouses: Nyx and Zeke sound like the ones who will be leading the pack during backyard sprints. • The Wildcard: Jamill sounds like the soulful one who will win you over with "the look" to get extra treats. ________________________________________ Why they make the best Valentines: • Unconditional Love: They won't care if you forgot to make dinner reservations. • Zero Judgment: They think your singing in the shower is Grammy-worthy. • The Best Cuddles: Though, at the rate Shepradors grow, your "lap dog" will be 70 lbs before you know it! It’s wonderful that they are already up to date on their vitals. Are you helping find them homes, or did you just add one (or five!) of these guys to your family? How to meet dogs listed with "NY" : If the dog is listed with an 'Avail date" and a (location) - the dog cannot be met until the event and it is a first come, first served adoption event with the dogs being met in the order the potential adopters sign in. If the dog is listed as being in a (foster home ie: Foster in Carmel) please email us at info@pawsafe.org and we will set up an appointment for you to meet the dog(s) that interest you at their foster home(s). **** We are sorry, but we cannot adopt to Massachusetts residents.
