WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Shale - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi there! My name is Shale, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home—a family...to call my very own! I’m a youngster of around 9 months old and a well-balanced, social gal who loves living life to the fullest. I’m loving, active, and playful, which means I’ll need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to help keep me happy and healthy. I absolutely love the river, swimming and splashing to my hearts content. I also know a few basic commands like sit, walking well on the leash and coming to you when called. I have a sweet nature and get along well with people of all sizes. I also get along great with the other foster pups, though I haven’t met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet. I weigh about 45 lbs and am the perfect size for all your adventures. Whether you need a companion for daily activities or a spirited sidekick for nature trails, I’m ready to go! I can’t wait to be that heartbeat at your feet, showering you with love and those adorable butt wiggles and tail wags!! With my affectionate personality and adorable face, I’m that pawsomely fabulous family member you’ve been waiting for. And guess what? I’m eagerly waiting for YOU too!! Looking forward to being your newest family addition, Kisses & Tail Wags, Shale 🐾

Story
Sam is a giant, gentle lovebug who ended up in a foster home because his parents got divorced and sadly neither of them wanted to be responsible for this fabulous boy. He’s wonderful with all people, other dogs, cats and kids. Sam is 7 years old and weighs about 100 pounds. He definitely needs to loose weight with a healthy diet and steady exercise. He is house broken and is simply an all-around great guy. Sam is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventives, and ready for his new family. If you’d like to give Sam his happily ever after home and spoil him forever, please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.

Story
My name is London, and I’m excited to share a little bit about myself with you. I was born on July 29, making me a fun-loving summer baby! I’m a delightful mix of golden retriever and great Pyrenees, which means I’ve got a wonderful personality and a beautiful coat to match. I’ve also been microchipped for my safety and have all my age-appropriate vaccines, so I’m all set to find my forever home.   Not only am I a pretty girl with stunning fur, but I also have a sweet and playful side that I can’t wait for you to experience. There’s nothing quite like a good romp in the yard or a game of fetch to brighten up the day! Right now, I’m working hard on my crate training and housebreaking. I’m a smart girl, and I really thrive on routines, especially when they come with some tasty treats as rewards! I’m eager to learn and would absolutely love the opportunity to attend obedience classes. I believe that with some guidance and training, I can become the best girl ever!   One of the things I love most is spending time with others. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids! Whether it’s playing with a furry friend or cuddling up with a little one, I’m always up for some social fun. I can’t wait to find a loving family who will cherish me and all the joy I have to offer. If you think I might be the perfect fit for you, I’d love to meet you soon!Apply for London! ##2200089##

Story
I'm Paris, and I was born on July 29, making me a summer pup! I'm a delightful mix of golden retriever and Great Pyrenees, which means that as I grow, I'm going to become quite the big gal. I have a fluffy coat that's perfect for cuddles and running around in the yard.    I'm all set with my age-appropriate vaccinations, so I'm ready to explore the world safely. Plus, I've been microchipped, which means I'm always just a scan away from being reunited with my family if I ever wander off on an adventure.   I'm known for being a sweet and playful girl. Right now, I'm in the middle of learning some important skills like crate training and housebreaking. I'm making progress, but I'll definitely need my forever home to continue guiding me along this journey. Additionally, I think attending doggy classes would be fantastic for me. Not only would they help me learn new things, but they'd also be a great way for us to bond and for me to become the best girl I can be!   When it comes to making friends, I'm a total pro! I get along wonderfully with other dogs, and I'm also great with kids and cats. Whether it's playtime in the park or a cozy evening at home, I'm always up for some fun and companionship.    I'm really looking forward to finding a forever home where I can share all my love, joy, and enthusiasm for life. If you think we could be a perfect match, please fill out an application for me!   Apply for Paris! ##2200088##

Story
I have an Adoption Pending but hope you will consider one of our other dogs in need. Thank you! Sundance is the smallest pup with the biggest heart! He is a 4-month-old purebred Golden Retriever who came to our rescue from a retiring breeder along with 6 other pups. He is our smallest pup at approximately 15lbs with a heart of gold. He loves everyone and especially loves playing with his sibling Sparkle. He is a bundle of joy who gets along well with dogs and cats alike. Sundance is looking for an active family and would do best in a home with another dog he can learn from. Sundance will be micro-chipped and given puppy vaccinations. He is heartworm negative and received a Proheart 6 injection so he will not need any additional heartworm preventative for 6 months. He will be headed north from AL in mid-October to be directly adopted. Adopters must commit to the spaying or neutering of their adopted pup when it reaches 1 year of age, or as your veterinarian recommends, and must provide proof of neutering/spaying to SGRR. Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to become an important, forever part of their life journey by continuing the rehabilitation we have begun. If you are approved to adopt through SGRR, you are home most of the day and have an active lifestyle, and a sense of humor, please contact Cheryl Kewley to be considered to adopt this sparkling beauty. If not yet approved for adoption, please visit our website to learn more and to submit an online application. Click here to visit our website. Please contact us with any questions regarding your application status. PLEASE APPLY by submitting an application via this online link: Click for Adoption Application About Our Rescue Before being approved to adopt, all potential adopters need to complete our online application and participate in our pre-adoption review process. The process includes the completion of an online application, a reference from the applicants' vet, a phone interview, and a visit to the applicants' home. The application process helps us determine what type of Golden would be best suited for the applicants' life style. In some cases, the specific dog you are interested in may have found a home before this process is complete or further assessment may find that this dog is not the right match for your family. We are regularly getting new Goldens in need of a home, so we encourage you to apply and get approved so that when the right dog comes along you will be ready. The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home. Under the terms of the contract, all adopters are required to bring the rescue to a vet within 7 business days. The dogs receive basic veterinary care prior to adoption. If your vet identifies an illness that an adopter is not willing to treat, then the dog is returned and a full refund is provided. Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and we do not have a facility to visit. We are committed to our dogs before, during, and after adoption! The rescue retains title to the dog and can never be released or sold. Should the adopters no longer be able to keep the dog, SGRR must be notified so that we can take the dog back into rescue and place it into another home. We reserve the right to remove a dog at any time should we find the adopter is no longer caring for their Golden in a way we see fit. Adopters then have to agree to follow up visits as needed. Please be a ray of light for this Sunshine dog and make a tax deductible donation toward medical and other expenses. Every cent of your generosity goes directly toward the care of a Sunshine dog. Story
I have an Adoption Pending but hope you will consider one of our other dogs in need. Thank you! Skye is an affectionate Golden Retriever who was born on 3/30/2024 and weighs about 40 pounds. Skye's original family likely adopted her because they could not resist Skye's sweet puppy face. Unfortunately, they seem to have spent little time with her due to travel schedules and Skye was frequently boarded. Well, it was Skye’s lucky day when they turned her into our rescue. Skye is now a Sunshine dog and will be forever loved! This sweet love muffin is ready to begin her new life as a cherished companion. An adopter willing to dedicate time to training Skye will be greatly rewarded with a WONDERFUL dog. This tail-wagging love-bug enjoys bones, toys, and balls. Skye is full of life, walks fairly well on a leash for having had such little training, and she keeps her kennel clean. Skye lived with 2 other dogs in her home and got along well with them. She needs supervision around cats, so a home without cats is what we are seeking. Skye does like children but would be best with kids 10 and older. If you're looking for a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, medium-sized, young female who is affectionate and full of exuberance, showing her gratitude by demonstrating joy in everything she does, Skye could be the girl for you. She shows such promise and is a loving girl who is ready to bring brightness to her new forever home. Skye is up-to-date on her vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed. She is heartworm negative and received a Proheart 6 injection so she will not need any additional heartworm preventative for 6 months. All that is missing is a place to lay her sweet head where she will know that she is home, forever. Skye should be ready to come north in mid-October to be directly adopted. Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to become an important, forever part of their life journey by continuing the rehabilitation we have begun.
