This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Lila is an almost 8-year-old mini Goldendoodle weighing about 25 pounds. She came to us from a commercial breeder when she was no longer wanted, and now she’s ready for her second chance at a happy life. Lila is a sweet, gentle girl who is still building her confidence. She allows all handling without issue and just needs a couple of minutes to feel comfortable with new friends. Once she warms up, her affectionate nature shines through. She was briefly adopted but returned after a few days because she seemed uncomfortable with the female owner and son, although she was happy with the male owner. Here at the rescue, she has been wonderful with all of our volunteers—both men and women—and enjoys attention and care. She has also been to adoption events where she did great with all who came up to her. Lila will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive any necessary treatment as recommended by our vet.
