Ryland is a 5-year old golden retriever blend with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. This handsome boy is looking for a forever home that will appreciate both his affectionate side and his independent streak. If you feel he is the match for you, please let us know by becoming an approved adopter starting with this link. https://www.grrmf.org/how-to-adopt/ Ryland is the best of both worlds—he loves to follow his people around the house, but he’s also perfectly content hanging out solo in another room. He’s not clingy, but he is loyal. He’ll always be there to greet you at the door with full-body wiggles, happy barks, and excited jumps. He doesn’t need a crate. Here are some of Ryland’s favorite things: Car rides with the windows down just enough for sniffing Long walks where he can stretch his legs Chewy meat treats, which he’ll do just about anything for Cuddles and attention from people he trusts Despite the retriever in him, Ryland’s not really a fetch guy. Toss a ball, and he’ll look at you like, “Nice throw, but how about you go get it?” He’s more into interactive play—he wants you involved. Toys are fun, but humans are better. He’s not overly interested in other dogs and hasn’t met any cats. He knows when new people are around and may alert you to strangers or unusual noises—but once he warms up, he’s a total sweetheart. He takes notice of fireworks and thunder, but they don’t rattle him. He does best in a structured, quiet environment without surprises and no other pets and no children of any age. He is a people pup! A calm structured home with a repetitive daily routine is the best match for Ryland. He thrives on consistency and predictability. . If you’re ready to give him the love, space, and guidance he deserves, Ryland will reward you with endless loyalty, tail wags, and companionship. Ryland’s adoption cost is $650 which helps defray the average $2000 expense per dog in our rescue. .

Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART!  Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID.  How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly.  He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue.
