He’s not clingy, but he is loyal. He’ll always be there to greet you at the door with full-body wiggles, happy barks, and excited jumps. He doesn’t need a crate. Here are some of Ryland’s favorite things: Car rides with the windows down just enough for sniffing Long walks where he can stretch his legs Chewy meat treats, which he’ll do just about anything for Cuddles and attention from people he trusts Despite the retriever in him, Ryland’s not really a fetch guy. Toss a ball, and he’ll look at you like, “Nice throw, but how about you go get it?” He’s more into interactive play—he wants you involved. Toys are fun, but humans are better. He’s not overly interested in other dogs and hasn’t met any cats. He knows when new people are around and may alert you to strangers or unusual noises—but once he warms up, he’s a total sweetheart. Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Ruby. This sweet 7-month-old, 35lb. girl is a perfect example of the beautiful Irish Setter breed. Ruby doesn't have a nice past... but we will make sure her future is bright! Ruby was found along with her sibling Ryder at the local dump, where she was left to fend for herself by her breeder. They were both near starvation, and because of that, Ruby is very food motivated. Since she has been with us, she has kept her kennel clean. We believe she will be easy to house train. And she loves her toys! She obviously didn't have any to call her own, and will take her toys to her "room." This sweet girl loves to go on walks and is mastering leash walking. She bonds quickly with her family and always needs supervision when outside because she will come find you if she can't see you. She hasn't been around cats but loves other dogs. She is a little shy at first with new people but warms up quickly to everyone. Small kids may be overwhelmed with her exuberance. Ruby is ready to find her happily ever after. We are requiring a secure fenced yard for her to run and play. Apply to Adopt Me! Hi! My name is Ryder. I'm an Irish Setter, and a handsome 34lb. boy if I do say so myself. I am told I'm typical of a 7-month-old pup! I love to run, but I do have a slight limp at times if I overdo it. You see, at some point in my short life, my leg (the radius and ulna) was fractured, but the vet said a callus has formed and it is healing normally and recommended no intervention. I didn't have a great beginning to my life - I was abandoned by my breeder at a local dump with my sibling Ruby. We didn't get much to eat and were very malnourished. The vet said at some point I must have been chained, because my canines are somewhat worn down, so it's best if I have soft plushies instead of hard bones or toys. But that horrible life ended when these wonderful people saved us. Now we ready for our forever homes. I love love toys - I never had any and I want them all! I walk pretty well on a leash, and love to play with other dogs. I have not been cat tested. I am a little shy at first with new people but warm up quickly. I get along well with all people, but I may be too active and shy for small kids. I can be fearful at times so loud, young children would probably be scare me. I would love to spend Christmas with my forever family. Will that be you? I do need a secure fenced yard to run and play in.
