Story
At 2 years old & 61 pounds, Abby came from a puppy mill but has a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. She thrives on affection, happily soaking up pets and attention, and accepts grooming time with grace. Her beautiful dark golden coat shines almost as brightly as her personality. She is still learning the joy of playing with toys but has learned what a good bone is and already shows how well behaved she is for her age! While she will go in a crate when asked, she much prefers being near her people, where she feels most at home. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys stretching her legs in a fenced yard, and delights playing with other dogs though she’d be just as content being the only dog in the family. Cats are still an unknown for her. She’s making great progress with potty training and even gives cues when it’s time to go outside. Instead of the couch, she chooses her soft doggy bed on the floor, proving she knows exactly what makes her comfortable. With her sweet nature and loyal heart, Abby is patiently waiting to complete a family’s story—bringing joy, companionship, and endless love to her forever home. Abby is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
1 year old Golden/Pyrenees/Staffie mixPatch is a 1 year old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix looking for his forever home. His owners got him as a very young puppy, but didn’t know at the time that Patch was going to grow up and like to go after the neighbor’s chickens. They share that he is super sweet with humans, but just doesn’t care for livestock so he would be better off living in the suburbs. Please send us your phone number if you would love to hear more about Patch. November 30, 2025, 6:55 am

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Elsa – The Golden-Hearted Girl Who Never Stopped Believing in Love At 8 months old and 48 pounds, Elsa is a beautiful Golden Retriever–Great Pyrenees mix who somehow ended up with all the Golden personality and only the Pyrenees fluff. Sweet, friendly, eager, affectionate—this girl is sunshine in dog form. If Golden Retrievers had a motivational speaker division, Elsa would be the CEO. But her start wasn’t golden at all. Elsa spent her whole puppyhood tied to a tether outside a trailer, watching the world from a spot of dirt she never deserved. No toys. No soft beds. No one to run to. No one to run with. And yet… her heart never quit. When she first came to us, she had a little food aggression around other dogs—understandable when you’ve never known if your next meal was guaranteed. But with time, consistency, and the realization that she’s finally safe, Elsa has blossomed beautifully. She’s now doing wonderfully with her dog friends and has never shown an ounce of aggression toward people. Humans, in her eyes, are made of magic—especially the ones willing to pet her. And oh, does she love to be loved. She leans in, she wiggles, she smiles with her whole face. She gives love like she’s been storing it up for months—because she has. Elsa deserved so much more than what she got in her puppy months, but she refuses to dwell on the past. She’s too busy soaking up cuddles, handing out kisses, and living her best “I’m finally free!” life. Her capacity for forgiveness and joy would put most of us to shame. This girl is resilient, goofy, grateful, and ready. Ready for a family. Ready for a home. Ready to love—and to be loved back. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, funny, deeply affectionate companion with a heart big enough to light up your whole house… Elsa is your girl. Apply today at haydududeequine.org, and get ready to welcome a brave, bouncy, golden-hearted miracle into your arms, heart and home!! 🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Teller — The Fluffy Storyteller of Joy, Adventure, and Good Vibes 🐾🌟 (Approx. 2 Years Old 50lbs • Golden Pyrenees–ish • Full-Time Happiness Ambassador) If dogs could narrate your life like a feel-good movie, Teller would be the one saying, “And then… everything got better.” This gorgeous, golden-white fluffball is approximately 2 years old and 50lbs, endlessly cheerful, and rocking that perfect mix of playful enthusiasm and easygoing calm. Like his brother Penn, Teller was found as a stray in Wimberley, TX, but he clearly missed the memo that he was supposed to be worried about it. Instead, he’s living life like every day is an open invitation to make friends, explore, and wag his way straight into your heart. 🐶 Teller’s 5-Star Resume (References Available): ✅ Happy, bouncy, and well socialized ✅ Excellent with people — assumes everyone loves him (he’s usually right) ✅ Great with other dogs — friendly, playful, and polite ✅ Cats unknown (open to negotiations) ✅ House trained — because he’s a classy gentleman ✅ Loves adventures big and small ✅ Up to date on vaccines & rabies ✅ Neutered and ready for forever Teller would be an absolute dream for an outdoorsy family who wants a dog that’s always up for whatever’s on the agenda — hiking, wandering, road trips, or just hanging out pretending the backyard is a national park. He brings joy to the mundane and excitement to the already fun stuff. He’s affectionate, social, and has that “I belong here” energy that makes him feel like part of the family immediately.
