You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.THACKERY came from Slate Lake which is a Northern Ontario community and he came south in search of his forever family. He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and been deemed a healthy boy. We’ve been told one of his parents was a Golden Retriever but no information on what the breed could be for the other one but at a guess, we think possibly German Shepherd. Seeing as we don’t know both parents the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess too. He’s a gentle quiet boy who’s being fostered with his brother and 2 resident dogs and they all get along very well. We would like him to go to a home that has another dog and one who is a gentle soul just like he is.  THACKERY is just working on his crate training as up until now he’s been sleeping in an x-pen but he does sleep quietly in it through the night and we do expect him to do the same in his crate. He’s housetrained and will let you know when he has to go outside for his bathroom break. He loves to go on walks but would benefit from some leash training so he understands what’s expected of him when leash walking. He loves to play outside in the yard and run around with the other dogs so a fenced yard is required for him. He has a cat in his foster home and he’s not bothered by him at all but they haven’t met face-to-face so we would only recommend a home with a dog savvy cat and they should only meet under strict supervision. THACKERY is very playful and loving and he already loves his foster mum after just a short while being with her. He wants nothing more than to be with his human so we would prefer him to go to a home that has someone who’s home most of the day. He also requires his new owner to have a lot of dog experience and know how to help him become the confident boy we know he can be. He loves any toy he can find to play with and especially enjoys chewing on a rubber toy. Due to being a bit anxious he needs to be monitored if he starts to chew on his dog bed or blankets as he has been caught doing that a few times. A quiet home would suit him best due to being quite sensitive and having not been exposed to too much noise and being a bit jumpy. He does know some basic commands like sit, stay and will take his treats “gentle.” He does love his food but eats alongside the other dogs in the home with no problems at all. He hasn’t been exposed to children so we’re recommending they be aged 10 plus and be caring and considerate towards dogs. My name is Joong bak and I am a playful Retriever mix, aged 3. Sadly, for most of my life, I had to wander here and there, and no one knows where I am from. However, as there is no such a law that lets me die, I met a kind chairman who helped find a place to stay and get fed. Now, I want to move forward finding my forever home and share my happy virus to my family. If I had to sum myself up in one word, it would be 'Energetic!' I find joy in every activity, especially when it involves human companions. There's always a reason to be happy, right?
