Story
Two years ago, Duekbae had a loving family, but tragically, they can no longer care for him due to an accident. A close family friend stepped in to provide a nurturing foster home. Personality: Duekbae is an incredibly affectionate dog who thrives on human companionship. He loves being close to people and is especially gentle and patient with children, welcoming their pets and attention without hesitation. Behavior with Other Animals: While he enjoys meeting other dogs, Duekbae tends to focus more on his human friends rather than playing with them. He’s friendly and can engage in rough play with dogs that match his energy level, but he never displays aggression. He also coexists well with cats, having previously lived in a foster home with one. Energy Level & Exercise: As a high-energy retriever, Duekbae requires regular outdoor activity. He loves long walks and swimming more than playing with toys. While he might pull a bit on the leash, he generally follows his handler well. Duekbae is not a barker, but he will let you know when he’s hungry or wants to go outside with a gentle woof. He is also well-behaved in a crate and knows how to get in and out of the car with ease. House Training: He mostly prefers to potty outdoors and is still learning to resist eating things off the ground during walks, so supervision is key! Attention-Seeking Behavior: When he wants attention, he might pretend to rip things apart or carry items in his mouth. He loves food and gets excited at mealtime; he’s learning commands like "sit" and "stay" to earn his treats. Special Notes: If Duekbae is not a fan of something like his rear wiped, he will gently put your hand in his mouth to express his dislike. However, he responds promptly to a firm "NO" and will stop the behavior. Duekbae is a loving companion looking for a forever home filled with affection and adventure! Story
Meet Cali – Your Future Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Cali’s journey began in the forests of Istanbul, Turkey 🌍, where she was found at just 45 days old. Her mother, a Golden Retriever, had been abandoned after becoming pregnant, and sadly, Cali was the only survivor of her litter 💔. Despite this heartbreaking start, she’s grown into a beautiful, smart, and loving 4-year-old Golden Retriever mix 🐕. Cali is an adventurous soul! She loves outdoor activities 🌲, whether it’s long walks, running, or playing with other big dogs 🐕‍🦺. She’s also great with kids 👶 and respectful of cats 🐱, making her a wonderful fit for families. Indoors, Cali is calm and enjoys lounging on the couch 🛋 or napping in her cozy spot, though she appreciates her personal space while resting. She’s completed basic obedience training 🎓, is fully house-trained. While she may pull on the leash when excited to meet other dogs, she quickly settles with clear guidance 🐾. Cali is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to find a loving family who will give her both the adventure and the care she deserves ❤. If you’re looking for a loyal, active, and affectionate companion, Cali is ready to meet you! Cali can fly to Toronto when she finds her forever home! This adorable bonded pair of Golden Retrievers is looking for a loving forever home where they can stay together. Gretel (dob 06/2019), the 5.5-year-old social lovebug, is the perfect companion for Hansel (dob 02/2022), who is just 2 years old. Their hearts are full of love and joy, and they’re ready to share it with the right family! Gretel is a classic Golden Retriever—friendly, affectionate, and always eager to meet new friends. She loves to play, cuddle, and be part of family activities. Whether it’s chasing a ball in the yard or snuggling on the couch, Gretel is sure to bring a smile to your face. Hansel, on the other hand, has had a rough start in life. After being abandoned by their previous family and suffering abuse at the hands of a caretaker, Hansel has become skittish, particularly around men. However, when he’s with his beloved sister Gretel, he shines. Together, they create a beautiful bond, and Hansel transforms into a happy, social dog who loves to play and explore. Key Details: House and Potty Trained: Both Hansel and Gretel are well-behaved and ready to adapt to your home. Needs More Exposure: Hansel requires gradual exposure to the outside world to build his confidence. Leash Training: Hansel will benefit from additional leash training to help him feel more comfortable on walks. What They Need: A patient and understanding family who is committed to keeping them together. Ideally, a home with experience in dog training, as Hansel will need gentle guidance and support to overcome his fears. If you’re new to dog ownership, we require that you work with a trainer from the very beginning of the adoption process. Good with Kids, Cats, and Other Dogs: Hansel and Gretel have proven to be great companions for children, and they are also friendly with cats and other dogs. They have so much love to give and are eager to be part of a family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Hansel and Gretel, you won’t just be gaining two loving dogs; you’ll be creating a forever family filled with happiness and love. Story
Meet Melita, a sweet and loving girl who’s been patiently waiting for her forever home. ❤️ She has grown into a wonderful companion who is ready to share her love with a new family. Melita enjoys neck scratches, belly rubs, and playing with water, toys, and her doggy friends. 🐾💦 Melita is very smart and eager to please, and with some patience and dedication, she will excel in her training. While she has been mostly living outside and knows how to use a dog door, she will need continued work on house training and leash skills. 🏡 This girl deserves the chance to experience the warmth and love of a home. Right now, Melita is in a shelter, and we only have a few weeks to find her the loving family she deserves. 💕 She is ready to become part of a family who will offer her a soft bed, plenty of love, and the stability she has been missing. Melita does have a tendency to resource guard her food and bones from other dogs, so she prefers a bit of space during mealtimes. She would thrive in a home with passive dogs and plenty of opportunities for playtime and companionship. 🐕💕 If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who’s eager to learn and be part of a family, Melita is the perfect match. Let’s help her find the home she so desperately deserves! 🏡❤️
