We just can’t figure out how this huggable, handsome dog has not been adopted yet! He is just about perfect and nobody has even come to meet him! Ralphie is a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd blend. He was picked up as a stray, and was a favorite with the staff at Animal Care Services and they pleaded for us to take him minutes before he was to be euthanized. We did and he certainly deserved it! Ralphie currently lives with two teenage boys and a small, senior Terrier. He loves to lay out in the sun, hang out and watch football with everyone, go on car rides and run or walk in the neighborhood. In addition to his athleticism and social skills, Ralphie is a very confident dog. He is not afraid of fireworks, the vacuum cleaner, or anything else that we have found. He is house-trained, too, and goes into his kennel on command. Ralphie is very adaptable and would do great in most environments. He would make a wonderful addition to your family. He’s had a DNA test and looks 100% Great Pyrenees but in miniature. He’s not though- he’s a mega mutt with a kind heart, the softest fur, and has heterochromia. He’s a weirdo, loved to play, lots of energy (because he’s an older puppy). What’s not to love about this goofball? DNA shows mostly Golden Retriever and Husky, but also has 3% chihuahua and 10% Great Pyrenees (a Pyr-HUAHUA if you will). Fostering this guy until someone claims this little goofball. Great with kiddos. Silly silly boy.

He deserves a home with a loving human who can spend time with him and who can keep up with his energy and goofiness. He get distracted easily (think of Ralph the dog in the movie Up). He just loves to be loved and it pains me and breaks my heart to have to give him up, but he deserves more than I can give.
