Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Ceyda is a beautiful 2-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever who weighs approximately 58 pounds. She is velcro, as most Goldens are. It appears that she didn't get much attention before coming to us, so she is even more velcro than normal. As she is feeling more secure in her foster home she is settling down. She no longer thinks she has to be in her foster mom's lap and will settle for laying by her feet. She needs some training on house rules (appears she wasn't allowed in before) but is learning quickly. She is potty trained (can use a dog door) and getting better about being kenneled. The trouble with the kennel is that she can't be close enough to you from there. Since she is so quickly learning "house rules" she gets to spend less and less time in there. She gets along with other dogs and is starting to play.. She sometimes acts like she is afraid of being hit but is learning to trust on that too. She will need to go to a home that is willing to give her time and love so she can learn to trust. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $500. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our adoption events are held each Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
