Story
Oh my heck! This is Piglet and I squealed when I saw him because he is seriously THAT cute! Once I actually met him I was smitten! He is confident, charming, so soft and has the bounciest ears I have ever seen! Seriously, they have the bounce that make you smile every time he moves. Piglet is so fortunate and is being fostered while he is waiting for his forever family so we are able to share, from his fosters front row seat, who Piglet is as a house dog. First off, he has excellent house manners and is fully house and crate trained. His foster has shared what an easy addition he has been to their life and home. From greeting guests to his neighborhood walks, he is a friendly, welcoming boy and he spreads joy in such a visible way wherever he is. Plus, he will happily let you carry him like a baby! It is sooo cute! Take a look then come back to read more-https://youtu.be/ohRVZH1cL9k Piglet weighs 34 adorable lbs and is estimated to be 2 years old. Age and breed are not details we can guarantee given he is a rescue but we see a little golden retriever when we look at him. If you adopt this boy and get a DNA test done please share the results with us! His happy-go-lucky, friendly nature gives off those golden good boy vibes and the fluffy gold fur only adds to the view. Piglet is extremely people-oriented and treats everyone like a friend. He walks well on a leash, happily accepted being handed off between people, and never missed a beat. He’s incredibly tolerant — you can scoop him up, dress him up, or lay him across your lap and he’s cool with it all. Piglet would thrive in a home with a playful but mature female dog who enjoys play but knows when to take breaks. A confident play-pal may occasionally have to give Piglet a gentle reminder if he is being a bit much but he takes the feedback well and adjusts appropriately. He is not over-the-top playful but is still learning the rhythm of play with dog friends but has great canine-friend vibes and will love having a pal. Because Piglet can be vocal (think barking at dogs during play or at the occasional outdoor noises), apartment living isn’t the best fit for him. He will without a doubt be a joyful addition your home! We can see it, a house with a yard, kids running around, doors-always-open family, with a few big trees to shade the best napping spots. Piglet is a lovable, squishy, people-loving pup ready to bring a ton of heart and fluff to the right home. If that is you, do not hesitate to make the first move, dogs like Piglet are one-of-a-kind and are rarely available for long. Questions? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Goose just turned 1 and has grown up around a cat and young children. He loves going on adventures in any weather which is unfortunately why we want to re-home him. We simply don't have the time he deserves. He has been through some advanced training but is still young and easily distracted. He was house trained by 10 weeks old and has never had any issues with this. He travels well and is always excited to get in the car. We'll all miss him greatly but I know he'll be better off with a loving family that has more time for him.

Story
Darwin is a 10 month old purebred Goldie. She is the sweetest girl and has amazing manners. We’ve been training her since 4 months when we originally got her and she knows everything from sit, stay, wait, let’s go, place, come, load up, inside, outside, drop it, leave it, & spin. She’s the perfect dog, very friendly with all people and animals. I am unfortunately going through a breakup and cannot keep her on my own. I ask $1500 adoption fee primarily to cover all the stuff she’s going to be sent home with (crate, bed, toys, 3 bags of food, treats, leashes, collars , etc. please let me know what questions you have!

Story
Emma is an 8 year old purebred golden retriever. We have had her for 7 great years. We took her into our home when our friends found her as an abused one year old dog that had been abandoned by a military family who was deployed. Due to the abuse early on, she has a lot of anxiety and is nervous around men. To this day she is still nervous around me when I am standing but will creep up to me and then she is sweet as anything. We love Emma, but unfortunately she doesn’t fit into our family anymore. She does have defensive/aggressive tendencies at children which doesn’t work with our now running toddler and infant we just brought home. She has had another dog with her in the home all her life and will likely need a home with another dog going forward as I believe that helps with her anxiety. We are in no rush to re-home her, and would keep her with us for a year or more if that’s how long it takes to find the right family. No adoption fee asked, let’s keep this dog happy and loved.
