Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Sundae – a 2 year old female Aussie/Catahoula mix that weighs approx. 56Lbs. Sundae is a sweet, sensitive girl who is ready for a fresh start. She can be shy at first and may startle easily in new environments, but with a little patience she quickly builds trust and becomes an affectionate love bug. Once she feels safe, Sundae absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily soak up all the pets and attention you can give. She walks nicely on a leash and has good leash manners, making her a wonderful companion for calm neighborhood strolls. Sundae would do best in a home with children 13 years and older or in an adult-only household where she can feel secure. She is not currently comfortable around other dogs, though the shelter environment may be contributing to that stress, so a meet and greet is required if another dog is in the home prior to adopting her. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Apply online at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Archie – A Diamond Dog Ready for His Happy Ending Archie is an approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who has been patiently waiting 145 days (as of 03/30/26) for his forever home after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. Now a Diamond Dog, his adoption fee is reduced to $75. Once a little unsure, Archie has truly come into his own and now enjoys being around people, soaking up attention, and simply being by your side. He appears to do well with female dogs and would benefit from a meet and greet if you have another dog at home. He also appears to be both house and crate trained, though he will need time and consistency to adjust to a new environment. Archie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is fully sponsored by Rockwall PAWS. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who's ready to finally go home, Archie is waiting to meet you.
