Where did we get Zona? - We got Zona off of Craigslist when she was a puppy in 2022. What is her breed? - She is half Golden Retriever and half Great Pyrenees How old is she? - She’s 4 years old now About Zona: - Zona has a gentle personality and is wonderful with kids. She loves being around people and has been a great companion to our family. As our family continues to grow, we’ve realized we can no longer give her the time and attention she truly deserves. This has been a very difficult decision for us, and we want to find Zona a loving, caring home where she will continue to be loved and well cared for. We are hoping to find the perfect family who can give her the attention, affection, and stable home she deserves.

Story
Tilly is a 4-month-old bundle of sunshine with the cutest lightly fluffy orange coat that practically glows. Our best guess is that she’s a Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix, but honestly, she looks like she was designed in a laboratory specifically to make people squeal, “OH MY GOSH LOOK AT HER.”   Not only is Tilly adorable on the outside, but her personality is just as precious. She absolutely loves everyone she meets and greets the world with nonstop tail wags and happy puppy energy. She is wonderful with other dogs, great with cats, and loves children. Tilly is outgoing, affectionate, playful, and always ready to make a new best friend.   Like any young puppy, Tilly is still learning all the important life skills. She will need a patient family committed to helping her continue learning house manners, leash skills, potty training, and all the things that turn a sweet puppy into an amazing lifelong companion. The effort you put into her now will be rewarded tenfold because this little girl is truly something special.   Located in Northern Texas, but transport is available out of state. Story
Hello, this is Blanca! she is a 4 year old husky/golden retriever mix. She’s a very sweet and loyal companion. Has the biggest personality, is very high energy and loves to play but can also be lazy and sleep all day. Would love for her to have a big backyard to play in. I’m hoping she can find a home that not only sees her as a pet but as family!

Story
This majestic gal catches your eye as you walk by her kennel. She has striking good looks, soft fluffy, golden fur, a fluffy tail and ears that stand straight out. Farrah is a two year-old Golden Retrieve/Border Collie mix that is the impressive size of 85 pounds. She was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 5/11. Farrah has a very thick coat that will need frequent brushing, and she could use a good grooming. When I brushed her, she was very patient. She doesn’t seem to know any commands and was not interested in my treats. She would wander off and then come back to stand or sit next to me. She definitely likes the closeness of humans. She is mild mannered, very gentle and calm, easy-going, friendly, sweet, affectionate, and well mannered. She exudes self-confidence. She did her business as soon as she got into the yard, and she walks relatively well on a leash. Can’t you just imagine how great it would be to snuggle with her? She would definitely need to get out for plenty of exercise but then would like to come back in to chill with her new family.

Story
🐾 Meet Millie – The Sweetest Girl Looking for Love! 🐾 Millie is a chameleon. She can look soft and squishy, or she can look calm and aloof. The one thing that is constant is what a special, loving girl she is. She looks at her foster parents with love in her eyes all the time, that when her face softens and a sereness comes over her. She is a delight, she is gentle and sweet but you can tell this one loves deeply when she feels safe. Millie is 48 lbs, loves to play especially in water. She is intrigued by animals on TV and will focus in every time that is playing. She loves everyone she meets—kids, big dogs, little dogs—you name it! I just have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will love me back. So why am I looking for a new home? Well, my owner’s boyfriend’s dog didn’t like me and wasn’t very nice to me. My owner made the tough decision to let me go because she knew it was for the best. And you know what? That means I now have the chance to find a family who will love me as much as I love them! I’m about 49 pounds, petite but full of personality! This sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about a year old and finds herself in an unexpected position. And its better for Millie to be in a home she can thrive in. She is medium sized, house and crate trained and while she still pulls on her leash, walking manners are improving quickly. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Dot (Dottie) 🎀 Dot’s story began when her mother was rescued, and just a short time later, on Christmas Day 2024, Dot and her siblings were born safely in our care. Now 11 months old and about 50 lbs, this beautiful retriever mix has grown up in rescue — and it’s time for her to find a forever family of her own. Dot is as smart as she is sweet. She knows sit, stay, and shake, and she’s potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and eager to please. She’s wonderful with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family companion. Her favorite game is tug, and she’s always up for playtime before settling down for snuggles. Playful, loving, and incredibly loyal, Dot has spent her whole young life waiting. Now she’s ready to grow up in the comfort of a forever home. 💕 📩 Apply to adopt Dot: www.dallasdog.org/adopt A good Samaritan took Dot's mom, a stray, in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies.
