Story
I got Borris when he was 9 weeks old he is 2 currently. He is great with kids and dogs he is playful and silly and just the best dog. Due to unfortunate events in our home we can no longer keep him. I need to relocate and the only place I can get will not Allow any form of pet. This is 100% not what I ever dreamed of wanted me and my kids love him so much. He needs someone who loves golden doodles and would be a perfect fit for someone who’s got more like him. He loves to play with other dogs he loves water and to play ball

Story
Franklin is 1.5 years old, he is the sweetest dog but has a lot of energy, too much for our little apartment. I’m looking for someone who has a yard for Frank to run around in or someone who is home a lot and has plenty of time to take him on walks (or runs as Frank prefers) Franklin does have some behavioral issues when around other dogs, he barks and sounds very aggressive but I am almost positive he would never hurt anyone. He currently lives with a small Yorkie and they are best friends but he gets very protective of his owner or whoever is walking with him when seeing dogs outside of our home. His groomers say he doesn’t display this behavior towards other dogs after I drop him off and they don’t believe he is aggressive either. If Frank is taken into a home with another dog he might need a minute to warm up to them but when he does they will be best friends! He hasn’t been around cats since he was a couple months old and he sometimes barks at small children from a distance.

Story
Misty is just over a year, her birthday is April 1st (Not spayed). She is a very sweet and loving girl. She requires more training though cause she doesn’t really listen very well. She really enjoys being outside and loved it when we had a pool in our backyard for the first 7 months of her life. Misty is a Goldendoodle mixed with Great Pyrenees, so she is not hypoallergenic and sheds much more than your typical goldendoodle!!Misty is not leash trained, she is not the easiest to handle outside and in public places. She gets along great with our Doberman but she is still a puppy and can be annoying to him. She is potty and kennel trained. We leave her in the kennel every night cause she likes to chew on things she shouldn’t. We have tried a variety of chew toys to keep her entertained while working but she still prefers being outside sniffing around or sunbathing. We think the best home for her would be one with a large backyard or even a farm.

Story
Bahama is an 11½-year-old, 15-pound Poodle blend who recently returned to us when her owner could no longer care for her. This sweet senior girl is now searching for a calm, loving forever home to spend her golden years.Bahama absolutely adores her people and forms strong bonds with the humans she loves. She would do best as the only dog in the home since she prefers not to share her favorite people with other canine companions. In return, she’ll make you feel like the most important person in the world with all the love and attention she gives! She enjoys going for walks, is housetrained, and even knows how to use a dog door. Bahama can be timid at first and needs time to warm up, especially with new people and unfamiliar situations. Because she can be skittish and experiences anxiety during thunderstorms and fireworks, she would thrive in a quieter home environment with patient adopters. She’s also used to having someone around much of the day and would love companionship and a steady routine. While she enjoys being close to her people, she’s not necessarily a lap dog — she simply wants to be near you, soaking up your company and love.To get started in the process of meeting Bahama, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Fizzy Pop is a 1-1/2 year old, 9 pound Terrier/Poodle blend who joined us recently and is looking for his forever home! He spent the 4th of July weekend on a sleepover with one of our volunteers, and we're happy to learn that fireworks don't scare him. He's a young, active little guy - one minute he'll be doing zoomies and playing like there's no tomorrow, and the next he'll be crashed out next to you on the couch. He learned the dog door and with a consistent schedule and a little bit of prompting, he seems to be housetrained. He loves to play with toys, and does well playing with other dogs who like to play. He loves to try to lick your face, and has mastered the sneak attack when trying. This adorable little guy will steal your heart, and possibly a shoe to carry around (no chewing though!). He sleeps through the night like a champ. He will need regular grooming, as his hair was a bit "wild" when he joined us, but he cleans up nicely! He also has exceptional car riding and leash manners. As an added bonus, he sits like a gentleman in a shopping cart and patiently surveys the other shoppers, while you shop.To get started in the process of meeting this dog, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors.
