Hi! I’m Ginger—almost 5 months old, 21 pounds and a Goldendoodle with legs made for prancing. My name might remind you of Ginger Rogers but trust me, I’m still learning my dance steps. I started out shy but once I realized the world wasn’t so scary, I began following the other dogs, playing and showing everyone my wiggly enthusiasm. I adore being close to my people and my furry friends, and I’m happiest when I’m part of the action. Being alone isn’t my favorite, but I settle and wait patiently until my humans return.
Favorite Things: Ginger is a joyful little companion who loves snuggles, belly rubs and anything that involves being near her people. She’s a playful pup who enjoys romping with another friendly dog, exploring the yard and lounging by the pool on warm days. She has a silly fondness for toes and her toy collection is her pride and joy; she believes the more toys, the better.
Training and Manners: Ginger is developing lovely habits for her age. She stays on track with her housetraining when taken out regularly and responds well when guided. She uses her sweet puppy voice to communicate her needs and is learning the basics of polite behavior. Continued practice with leash walking, table manners, and staying engaged will help her grow. New environments and car rides can make her uneasy, but with gentle reassurance, she’ll continue to build confidence.
Health and Care: Ginger is a healthy girl! She will just need her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. As a poodle blend, she will also need routine brushing and regular grooming to keep her coat soft and beautiful. She will need a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who can commit to taking her to her final puppy vetting appointments and spay. These have already been scheduled with PPR’s vetting partner, and their cost is covered in her adoption donation.
Other Animals: Ginger enjoys the company of other playful dogs and fits in beautifully with the doodle blends in her foster home. She’s polite with their belongings, follows their lead and plays with a sweet, submissive style. She hasn’t met cats yet, but her temperament suggests she could adapt with proper introductions.
Children: Ginger does well with older children (8+). Her soft, easygoing nature suggests she could do well with younger kids too, as long as they interact calmly and kindly with a puppy.
Ideal Home: Ginger would thrive in a home—whether a house, condo, or apartment—where someone is around often to enjoy her affectionate personality. She blossoms with companionship and would love another friendly dog to share her days with. A family who enjoys including her in their routine and helping her continue to mature into a confident young dog would be a wonderful match.
Overall: Ginger is a bright, affectionate sweetheart who is growing beautifully into herself. She’s clever, loving, and eager to be part of a family who will guide her through puppyhood with patience and joy. With her moviestar name and her expressive charm, she’s sure to leave a lasting impression.
Can Ginger dance her way into your heart? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a great match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $650.
