Story
***Local adoption only: Penny needs a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking her to a follow-up appointment with PPR's vetting partner. This has already been scheduled and the cost is covered by her adoption donation.*** Hi, I'm Penny! I'm a 56-lb, 2-year-old Doodle. I'm looking for an active person who is ready for adventures including (but not limited to) lots of cuddles, lizard-hunting, fast walks, and making friends with everyone I meet. In return, I can promise that whoever adopts me will be rich in cuddles, kisses, and love.  Favorite Things: Penny's favorite things include cuddles, snuggles, kisses, hugs, and being outside. She LOVES running around and patrolling the perimeter of the yard and investigating the bushes. She particularly likes chasing after squirrels and lizards.   Training & Manners: Penny is a little lady! She is housetrained if let out regularly and will let you know when she needs to go out (although she's a shy girl who doesn't like to do her business while on a leash.) She needs more practice not pulling on a leash and is very easily distracted outside with animals and insects.  She is not interested in treats when on her walks, so it will take some patience. She is very happy in the car but also tries to climb all over, so she'll need a harness or doggie car seat.  Health & Care: Penny is spayed, heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccinations. She will just need monthly flea and heart preventatives, like any dog.  As a Poodle, she will need regular brushing plus professional grooming every few weeks.  Other Animals: Penny has been introduced to a few other dogs from 10-100 pounds and does well with all of them. She LOVES playing and will bark and pounce to try to get other dogs to play with her. She will get loud but is always happy.  She would do very well with another canine companion. She has not been observed around cats, but given her love of chasing lizards and squirrels, her foster doesn't think she'd be the best fit for a home with cats.  Children: Penny loves children and has done well with all the children she's met, including kids on the autism spectrum. However, she doesn't quite know how big she is and her love of giving people big kisses on their faces might overwhelm some toddlers.   Ideal Home: This active explorer would do best in a single-family home with a securely fenced yard.    Overall: Penny is a happy and loving companion and will make a family very happy.  Could this sweet girl be your lucky Penny? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $500. ##2561400##

Story
Max doesnt tear anything up and all he wants is to give/receive endless cuddles. He loves to play and lives a very active lifestyle. Max is not too fond of indoor cats. We have an outdoor cat that comes in and out of our home as he pleases, which he's learned to coexist with, but its only been possible bc he is a very smart boy who knows how to listens. Max was adopted from a family that had an Autistic child who used to unintentionally hit him, so he really gets triggered by sudden movements from smaller kids. We have a 4.5 year old and are expecting another. We are finding ourselves too worried over these triggers and we think he can live a better life without smaller children around. We had the option to give him back, but bc he is VERY respectful and doesnt attack our boy, we decided to keep trying and realized that its just too much for us all and know that he can live better without another child coming into the household. We LOVE Max so we are taking this process serious.

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel!  I’m told I’m a beautiful Standard Poodle girl, but I just know life is good when I’m chilling with my trusted people. I’m one and a half years old and 59 pounds of sweetness! I’m patient, gentle, and very affectionate, especially when I feel safe.  Loud noises like thunder scare me and I’m nervous around men. Favorite Things: Mabel loves the great outdoors, everything from long walks in the neighborhood to just being outside soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. Training & Manners: This sweet girl is a very good listener.  Yes, you can tell her all your troubles but, more importantly, she will listen to your directions and she learns quickly.  She is house-trained when let out regularly and has lovely house manners.  She walks great on a leash, though she does get excited when she sees other dogs but not in an aggressive way, more like, can we please go meet these new friends?! She tolerates a car ride and sleeps soundly in her dog bed at night. Health & Care: Mabel is spayed, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like all dogs.  But this beauty will need regular grooming to look and feel her best! Other Animals: Mabel gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She has generally ignored the dogs in her foster home but likes to win in the attention race!  She hasn’t been tested with cats but her foster mom thinks she would be ok with them.   Children: Mabel is gentle and patient but will do best with older children (8+), as loud noises and sudden movements make her nervous. Ideal Home: This adaptable girl will do fine in a single home or an apartment, townhouse, or condo as long as she has ample opportunity for exercise. She can be left alone in the home for several hours without issues. Overall: If you’re looking for a gentle companion and great walking partner, Mabel might be the one for you.  If you think she might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $575. ##2466075##

Story
***Local adoption only: Mabel Jr. needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking her to her follow-up vetting appointments for remaining vaccines and spay with PPR's vetting partner. These appointments have already been scheduled and their cost is covered in the adoption donation.*** Hi, I’m Mabel Jr.! Don't let the "Jr." fool you, I'm ALL girl! I’m a 3 month old Poodle puppy with a sweet and curious nature. I was named after my momma, who weighs 55 pounds. My adult size is still a surprise, but I’m already bursting with joy and enthusiasm! Favorite Things: Mabel Jr. loves discovering new toys and snuggling with her family. She’s playful and energetic, yet knows how to slow down for sweet, affectionate moments. Training & Manners: This cutie is pad-trained, does great when let outside regularly, and loves car rides. She can roam the house responsibly for hours, is quickly picking up leash skills, and already knows her basic commands. At night, she settles quietly in her secure space, showing off her gentle manners; never a barker, always a delight. Health & Care: Mabel Jr. is a happy dog! Like all dogs, she requires monthly flea and heartworm preventatives and regular grooming for her adorable curly Poodle coat. She might need eye surgery for her flipped eyelids, and a hernia repair that will be done when she is spayed. To ensure she gets the best follow up care, she will need a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who can commit to taking her to her final puppy vetting appointments and spay. These have already been scheduled with PPR's vetting partner and their cost is covered in her adoption donation. Other Animals: Mable Jr. may be very independent and enjoy running the show, but this little boss lady is also a delight who loves to socialize! She gets along wonderfully with dogs of every size. She hasn’t met cats in a formal setting, but her easygoing curiosity makes her likely to get along. Children: Loving and spirited, she gets along wonderfully with kids of any age. Ideal Home: She’ll thrive in a singlefamily home, ideally with a fenced yard for her zoomies and playtime. While a fence is preferred, it’s not required; as long as she gets regular outdoor time. Overall: Mabel Jr. is a bright, confident pup who loves her "me time" but is always ready to mix in plenty of cuddles. Treatmotivated and eager to learn, she blends intelligence, enthusiasm, and calmness; making her an ideal lifelong companion for a family ready to guide her growth. Is Mabel Jr. the one for you? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $650. ##2518025##
