Bella arrived at FairyTails after being surrendered by her owner, who was faced with severe medical issues. Her owner purchased her as a 5 week old puppy and it was the only home Bella knew. She is new to our program, and is understandably is a little fearful and trying to figure out what is going on. She started her new beginning with a much-needed Spaw Day and windy photo shoot! Because of significant matting, Bella had to have a pretty close groom, but don’t worry—her hair still blows beautifully in the wind! Once she’s on a regular grooming schedule and that gorgeous coat grows back in, she is going to be absolutely stunning. Bella is only 16 months old and has a wonderful personality. She is very inquisitive and intelligent. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She enjoys toys and playing fetch and tug of war. She will potty outside, but only close to the house and on hard surfaces. She needs consistent structure and training to bring her to her full potential. She seems to like other dogs as she interacts with her foster siblings. But it is clear that other dogs are a new experience for her because she doesn't have "doggie manners" yet. She is goofy and would likely make a great pet in a family with older children. We are now ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for this beautiful girl, so get yours in—you definitely won’t want to miss your opportunity with Bella! Daisy-Mae is such a sweet girl. She is 2 years old and we have had her since she was a puppy. She is a pure bred Golden Mountain Doodle (1/2 poodle, 1/4 golden retriever, 1/4 burnese mountain dog). She loves to sit on laps and play fetch, go on walks or runs, and is a very high energy pup. We are heartbroken to need to rehome her, but she is not handling the energy of our home well. We have 3 young kids with a 4th on the way. They are homeschooled and the constant chaos, noise, and energy of a home full of young kids seems to stress her out a bit. She has become a bit defensive over her food, toys, and space, and has shown signs of stress and resource guarding. She would do well in a home with older children, or with an adult-only household that can give her a more structured space, and give her more focused attention without making her feel like she is competing with kids for attention. She is well-trained and obedient and very, very smart. She goes to day care regularly and does well

Grrrr….. wait…. no……. ummm…. How did my foster mom say I’m suppose to say hello? Grr..hello, no….. Hi! My name is KoKo and I’m so excited to meet you. I am a 12.5 pound miniature poodle. My foster momma says I’m one of the smartest dogs she’s ever met, but I need to work on my manners. I don’t have a clue what she’s talking about. Isn’t growling a proper way to let someone know you like them and want to meet them? Back at the end of July my whole world got turned upside down. My beloved mom and dad of 2 years could no longer care for me. Let me tell you something, they loved me so much and according to my foster mom spoiled me a little too much because she says I have some naughty behaviors. Back to that terrible day. I was so scared and confused I lashed out to the shelter staff by growling and trying to bite them. I truly meant no harm. I was just scared and had learned if I growl and snap things I don’t like happening stop. Thankfully the shelter director knew of foster mom and knew she would take a chance on me and take me home to foster. The day she picked me up was one of the best days of my life. While I’m still living with other dogs and cats her home is quiet and the best part is she lets me sleep in the bed with her, one of my most favorite activities. I was on my best behavior for about a week, before I let the first growl slip. I truly meant no harm. I was just tired and didn’t want to be moved over on the bed. My new momma told me that was unacceptable behavior and we had to practice being moved without biting. My foster momma took me to meet with a dog trainer and we have lots of things we are working on. According to the trainer I’m a pushy dog who lacks confidence and have learner growling gets me my way. I disagree, but whatever. We still apparently have to work on my growling. If you’ve got an empty lap, patience, and a willingness to continue on with my training fill out an application to me you. KoKo is house trained and crate trained, but can be reactive in his crate. He gets along great with both cats and dogs and would like flourish in a home with a dog his size to play with. He enjoys walking on a leash and napping the day away on the couch. Because he does growl and snap he needs a home with kids over the age of 12. One of the conditions of his adoption is going to be, being willing to enroll him in training classes with a dog trainer so his forever family can continue working with him on his growling. He will also require daily brushing and grooming visits every 6-8 weeks to keep his hair from matting.
