Story
Charlie got a haircut and says "PICK ME!" See Foster family update below... Charlie is a 7 year old, 65ish lb male Goldendoodle who is being surrendered to GRRAND at no fault of his own. He is looking for a home that has the time and patience to work with him on on socialization and behavior as sadly, he has basically lived his 7 years with no guidance and training.  Charlie is soooo sweet, and gets along with other dogs (German shepherds, dachshunds, etc) and doesn't mind cats. He is crate trained and is in it when he is left alone. He is a handsome, full size Goldendoodle. Charlie has lost 20 pounds and he loves to romp and play, so he would benefit from a fenced in yard or a family committed to giving him the daily exercise he craves. Charlie is in a wonderful foster home and they say: "If you're looking for a doodle full of love, kindness and affection, look no further! Charlie is a 60-pound goldendoodle with soulful eyes and a demeanor which seems to say, "thank you for being my foster family!"  Charlie adapts quickly - he naps with his foster brother Wrigley (an 18-pound Cavalier King Charles), and he delights in playing hide-and-seek with his human foster brother (a 6-year-old boy).  He puts his human foster brother to bed and greets him first thing in the morning!  Did I mention that Charlie gives the BEST hugs ever???  This cutie is great at "reading the room" - he knows when to play and when to be gentle. Charlie loves car rides and sits in the seat like a good-natured human! He also adores golf cart rides - they're his favorite!  He is a well-behaved dream in the grooming salon owned by his foster mamma! Charlie loves everyone he meets, both human and canine and has so much doodle-love to give his forever family!"    According to Charlie's past family, he is a happy go lucky dog who just fits in and goes with the flow. Charlie is currently known to be a counter surfer and that is a work in progress. Charlie has been groomed consistently his whole life and has been well cared for. We are still learning about Charlie, but if you would like to meet this handsome boy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2610848##

Story
Stella (3 year old Goldendoodle weighing about 60 lbs) and her sister Daisy (5 year old Lab mix weighing about 60lbs) are BFF's looking for a home to be adopted into and stay together forever, as their owners passed away and they were taken in by neighbors. They tell us this about the girls: Daisy: walks okay on a leash but needs more practice. Daisy paces and has anxiety during storms. When we first brought the girls into the home, our senior dog did not like them and they would get in tiffs, but since they have been very calm with one another other and don't really interact with her much. When Daisy first arrived, she had a significant flea infestation. Since then, she has been consistently treated with flea/tick prevention and has settled in nicely. She is petite, sweet and after her initial excitement upon meeting someone, she is “chill.” Stella: is a sweet, playful dog with a puppy-like personality who would thrive in a home that can continue working on her training, confidence, and leash skills. She is crate trained, and deeply bonded to Daisy. We are hoping to find a rescue placement that will allow the girls to remain together and continue receiving the love and stability they deserve. Daisy and Stella have become very loved in our home and have made significant progress adjusting to a stable environment. The girls were very skinny when they were first "rescued" and their family has done everything to help get them back to a healthy weight and good health in general. The girls are crated separately during the day on work days and also any errand runs. They consider their crates as “safe zones” during the day and may enter even with the family at home. They have free run when they are home with the dogs. They ALWAYS choose to sleep together in an XL crate every evening. They will need a secure fenced yard as that is considered their "exercise zone". Stella is still young and has plenty of energy to burn. These girls are currently living with the family who rescued them and they have a 3 yr old child that the dogs have done well with.  The dogs have been with this family for a couple of months, but prior to that, they lived with an older couple who passed away. Our volunteer says "This is definitely a bonded pair of very petite dogs that adore and love eachother and can't be separated." If you are looking for a sweet pair of girls to bring into your home and have the time and committment to help them during their adjustment period, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2760088##

Story
Rosie is a 2 year old, 50ish lb, female Goldendoodle who was surrendered to GRRAND as her people had too many dogs and felt Rosie needed more attention and direction than they could give to her. As you can see from her pics, Rosie needed to get a full on buzz cut as she had so many matts, but that hasn't changed her personality. She is still sweet and playful as ever. Rosie will need a family that will have the time and patience to work with her on training and direction as she has not had any and she is still young and active and will need plenty of exercise to keep her happy and busy. She lived with 3 other dogs so a doggie playmate to match her activity level would be a bonus.  She is house-trained and crate-trained and does sleep in her crate at night and when left alone during the day. Our GRRAND volunteer who was with Rosie in the field play yard tells us: "Rosie just arrived to GRRAND and she is very busy making new friends, both human and canine. Rosie loves gentle cuddles and to follow you around and she seems to have good manners." Rosie is said to have lived with cats, but GRRAND has not cat tested her.  Please check back later for more info, but if you would like to meet her, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2826355##

Story
Marcy is a very sweet 5 year old, Goldendoodle at about 60ish lbs, who sadly has lost her home due to the E KY flooding with her BFF Bingo. Now, Marcy came in with Bingo, and we did not think they needed to be adopted together, but we were wrong! Bingo went to a home without other dogs and didn’t do well. He was anxious and then started resource-guarding the mom against the dad, so sadly, he was sent back. When he returned to the kennel and was reunited with Marcy, they were both ECSTATIC to see each other and have been so happy since! Bingo is much less anxious with her, too, as he finds comfort and stability in Marcy. She is a real stable dog and is going to help Bingo and she loves him, too! Marcy and Bingo are best friends with playful personalities and lots of love to give. They balance each other well and would be an excellent fit for a foster home ready for double the fun and companionship. They are now in a foster home and they say: "Mother and son are affectionate, happy, healthy doggies. They have been relaxed, happy, and affectionate as soon as they arrived at my home. Having the two of them together is a plus.  They play well together in my backyard, racing around.  They come immediately when called!  House trained, no destruction. Marcy is low key, likes to lay around.  Bingo is energetic, eager to protect me from any action he sees on our quiet street. He does best with a rubber ball in his mouth to play and chew.Marcy likes soft, stuffed animals." They are needing an adult only household that is also on the calmer side. Bingo is very nervous around kids, and does not like lots of chaos.  Anyway, she gets along with other dogs and is said to get along with cats too, but GRRAND has not cat tested her. She is crate-trained and walks on leash, but her new family will need to have the time and patience to work with her and Bingo and giving them the exercise and direction they need to be good pups. We are still learning about Marcy and Bingo, so please check back for more info, but if you would like to help Marcy and Bingo get out of the kennel and start their new lives, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2313509##

Story
Nova is a 6 year old, 50lb, female Goldendoodle who is being surrendered because "She needs someone that can be with her more than I can. She has a lot of energy and needs a place to run around." Nova needs a quiet, experienced adult only household with no kids as she is leary of strangers and does not like a lot of chaos. She needs a secure fenced in yard for her to run and play. She is house-trained and trustworthy in the home when left alone. Our GRRAND volunteer says: "Nova does not seek much attention but will come back to me every once in a while to check in - quick scritch then she's back to sniffing. It is very obvious she would love to have her own yard to sniff around in daily. Nova is not a digger nor does she bark. Nova has beautiful golden highlights in her fur. Nova is truly a best girl, as always, and would LOVE to be in a home. She is a staff and vol fave here at the kennel and loves us right back! She is calm, has a mannerly behavior, and knows basic commands. This girl is affectionate and very responsive. She needs a chance to show a family how great she is!" (update Oct 2) Our volunteer also says: "She is independent, loving, sweet, calm. I discovered today that she likes to chase a thrown tennis ball but she is not obsessive about it. She likes to sniff and wander but will seek you out for pets and snuggles. Nova has excellent manners. She won't jump up on you and I've never heard her bark." Nova will need a home with a secure fenced yard so she can romp and play, and a new "bestie" in the home would be a bonus! Nova gets along well with other dogs and will need a family that can be committed to giving her the daily exercise and direction she needs to be a happy and healthy girl! Nova is crate trained but has proven to be trustworthy and not get into anything when home. She can be a bit leary of strangers, but needs the right person who can help her work through that.  We are still learning about Nova, but if you would like to meet this cutie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2337447##
