Inquiries provide us with minimal information about the potential adopter, making it challenging for us to evaluate suitability.2. Submit an Application: We kindly ask that you submit an adoption application on our website to be considered for adoption. Please choose the appropriate application link below based on whether you are interested in adopting a dog or cat:~ Apply here (DOG): https://davincisdream.org/dog-adoption/~ Apply here (CAT): https://davincisdream.org/cat-adoption/3. Be Patient: Keep in mind that we are a volunteer-based organization, and we receive a high number of inquiries and applications. Due to these constraints, we may not be able to respond to every inquiry individually. However, submitting an application provides us with the necessary information to consider you as a potential adopter.**TRANSPORTS**We are based in Columbia, KY, and extend our services to other locations through our transport program. To ensure the safe and responsible transport of our animals, we currently only transport to these destinations: Greenwood, IN, Wilmington, OH, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.To be eligible for transport, dogs/cats must meet specific criteria:1. Approved Application: You will need to submit an adoption application for the animal and receive approval. Deposit Paid: A deposit must be paid as part of the adoption process.3. Transport Contract Signed: The potential adopter must sign a transport contract, indicating their commitment to meet the dog on the designated date. The "Transport" label next to each animal's name signifies that this animal is available for transport, but please remember that this transport service is exclusively for dogs that meet the above criteria. This ensures the safety and well-being of the animals throughout the journey. For more information about our transport process, please visit our website here: https://davincisdream.org/transport/READ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: https://davincisdream.org/adoption-fees/**ADOPTION FEES**To view the adoption fees for our animals, please go to the "Dogs" or "Cats" tab and select "Available Dogs" or "Available Cats." We strive to provide you with all the information you need right here. Please understand that due to the high volume of inquiries, we may not be able to respond to questions covered in this FAQ section.1. Are your dogs potty trained?Unless the dog's bio specifically states that they are potty trained, you can assume they are not. Many of our rescue dogs come from challenging circumstances and may not have been exposed to housetraining. Housetraining is typically the responsibility of the adopter.2. Do you transport to other locations?Currently, we transport to Wilmington, Ohio, Greenwood, Indiana, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.3. Is this cat/dog still available? If the cat or dog is listed on Adopt-A-Pet and does not have an "adoption pending" tag on the website, we are still accepting applications. However, please be aware that we often receive multiple applications for each animal.4. How long does it take to hear back about my application? It can take up to 10 days to receive a response from us. If you do not hear back within this timeframe, please understand that we may have chosen not to move forward with your application. We are a volunteer-based organization and, while we read every application, we may not be able to respond to each one individually.Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our fur babies and for taking the time to review these FAQs. Your support and understanding of our processes are greatly appreciated as we work tirelessly to find loving homes for our rescue animals.

Story
✨🐾 FOR ADOPTION — HENRY: EXTREME MAKEOVER EDITION! 🐾✨ Henry came to us as an absolute matted, neglected mess… but LOOK AT HIM NOW! 😭♥️ This handsome Goldendoodle has officially had the full FairyTails treatment. He enjoyed a much-needed Spaw Day, went to the vet, lost his 🎾🎾 privileges 😂, and has now been fully vetted and CLEARED FOR ADOPTION! Henry is an owner surrender, estimated to be around 3 years old and 35 lbs. His whole world has been turned completely upside down—and thankfully, this time for the GOOD. We think he may need a little patience and time to understand that he’s safe now and that life is only going to get better from here. And yes… he may be a little bald and naked at the moment. 😂 But give that Goldendoodle coat a little time to grow back and this boy is going to be a SHOWSTOPPER. 🐾 Male Goldendoodle 🐾 Approx. 3 years old 🐾 35 lbs 🐾 Fully vetted & neutered 🐾 Cleared for adoption 🐾 Adoption fee: $400 Henry already got his makeover. Now he just needs the best part of his transformation—a family of his own. 🏡♥️

Story
Ella Rose is a 3 year old, 60ish lb, female Goldendoodle being surrendered to GRRAND due to her owners medical issues and they can no longer care for Ella. Ella Rose is house-trained and crate-trained and sleeps in the crate at night or when rarely left alone. She is not a fan of storms but just looks to you for comfort. The girl is very sweet and lovable. She badly needed a grooming session, so she got quitwe a hair cut but it will grown back. Doodles need a regular grooming schedule as their coat can get vert matted if left unattended. Our GRRAND volunteer who was with Ella in the field says: "Miss Ella Rose has already had a salon day here in GRRAND so she is freshly shaved. Ella Rose is very happy here at our GRRAND kennel, but is a little shy at first meeting. However, she kisses your hand to let you know she would like some scritchies and to get to know you better. Ella Rose is a medium to large size golden doodle, weighing about 60 pounds. Ella Rose likes to play in our large, grassy yard, but will also walk next to you. She knows basic commands and is treat motivated. She has excellent manners and is sweetly affectionate." We are still learning about Ella Rose, so please check back later for more info,  but if you would like to meet Miss Ella Rose, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2827382##

Story
Rosie is a 2 year old, 50ish lb, female Goldendoodle who was surrendered to GRRAND as her people had too many dogs and felt Rosie needed more attention and direction than they could give to her. As you can see from her pics, Rosie needed to get a full on buzz cut as she had so many matts, but that hasn't changed her personality. She is still sweet and playful as ever. Rosie will need a family that will have the time and patience to work with her on training and direction as she has not had any and she is still young and active and will need plenty of exercise to keep her happy and busy. She lived with 3 other dogs so a doggie playmate to match her activity level would be a bonus.  She is house-trained and crate-trained and does sleep in her crate at night and when left alone during the day. Our GRRAND volunteer who was with Rosie in the field play yard tells us: "Rosie just arrived to GRRAND and she is very busy making new friends, both human and canine. Rosie loves gentle cuddles and to follow you around and she seems to have good manners." Rosie is said to have lived with cats, but GRRAND has not cat tested her.  Please check back later for more info, but if you would like to meet her, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2826355##
