Story
Meet Frost, a 1-year-old Goldendoodle weighing about 14 pounds, with a heart as soft as his curls. Frost was saved by a compassionate Good Samaritan who stepped in after noticing he was being neglected. Wanting better for him, she reached out to our rescue in hopes of finding Frost a home where he can finally experience consistency, security, and unconditional love. Even after everything he’s been through, Frost remains a happy, playful pup with a positive spirit and plenty of puppy energy. Frost is an active boy who loves daily walks and would be an excellent companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors, including hiking and exploring new trails. He’s been making great progress with potty training, especially since being neutered, but due to spending long periods alone during the day, he may still mark at times. With a structured routine, patience, and continued training, Frost is expected to do very well. He’s eager to learn and thrives when given guidance and attention. When playtime is over, Frost’s favorite place to be is right next to you—or better yet, in your lap. He is an absolute cuddle bug who craves affection and will gladly roll over for belly rubs. Frost is dog-friendly and loves to play with other pups, but he is not compatible with cats. Toys are his greatest joy, and he’s always ready to add more to his growing collection. Frost is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Foster-to-adopt is available. MEET SIMBA! We received a surrender request for this adorable guy. Everyone meet Simba, a 4 year old golden doodle! A member of Simba’s family is having health issues they need to focus on so they reached out to us to help rehome him so our Board member Lisa went to evaluate him. Simba is a very sweet boy who loves to play and get attention. He is very family oriented and loves to be around his people. He loves the dog park according to his family and they say he plays very nicely with other dogs. Simba is good with kids (he lives with older kids now and plays with the neighborhood kids). While he knows basic commands, he may need a tune up on some things. He is house trained. Simba is a big boy weighing 70-75 lbs, so that should be taken into consideration as he may knock down people unintentionally, especially kids and elders, but he’s smart so will learn quickly with some training. He’s also unknown with cats but known to chase squirrels. Do you want to make Simba the next member of your family? Story
Rocky is my soul dog. I got him as a puppy 13 years ago from a breeder called Liberty Pines. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and has been my number one guy until my wife and I had twins in 2024. He was good with the babes when they were not mobile. The second they started crawling he was not happy. Growling and barking nonstop at the baby gate. We have kept Rocky and the babies separated for over a year. In our small apartment it is no longer sustainable. I know Rocky wants to hang with us but he just doesn’t know how. He needs a place where he is the main character. Nothing has happened between Rocky and the babies because of our vigilance. I don’t want to wait till something does happen. I need to let him go. There are many amazing things about Rock but here are all the unsavory details: He eats underwear He tries to eat garbage on the street. He has separation anxiety and will cry howl if you’re gone at work all day. He will try to get food by any means necessary.
