🐾 CLOVER came in as a stray who was injured and was never claimed. He had a bad leg injury that necessitated amputation, but he gets along just fine and has healed up well. He's about 50 lbs and is a standard poodle who's a huge lovebug and snuggler - he gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and at the park, and the older kids, as well. Cats seem to be a no for this chasey guy. The vet estimated him young at just 1-2 years old. He enjoys attention from people and does well meeting new people. He IS a high energy guy, so someone able to give him lots of exercise and/or a fenced yard for running would be best for him. As he's become more comfortable in his foster home, he's started pulling more on the leash, so they're working on that. CLovers loves nothing more than to play fetch with his tennis ball, and also enjoys marrow bones. He does like to snuggle but is an active snuggler who requests pets as he's snuggling vs just chilling and laying next to you. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌 IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Ramona came into the rescue from a commercial breeder. Her official breed is mini goldendoodle but she looks more golden than doodle and she does shed. At 2 years old, she weighs 26 lbs. Her foster says she is sweet and affectionate. Everything about living in a house is new to her so she is timid around new situations and people and also being on a leash. Ramona may learn to walk on a leash when she builds confidence. She does well with other dogs, cats and respectful children. Ramona does love toys, especially chew toys. She is crate trained but needs her people within eyesight at bedtime. She is also housetrained on a timed basis. Due to her shyness, Ramona requires *********A PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD AND A CONFIDENT DOG IN HER NEW HOME.******* Her adoption fee is $500, which covers all vetting up to adoption, spay and microchip ##2782017##
