Story
Cody is a 1 Year Old black Golden Doodle mini. His weight is 25 lbs. He is very active and smart. He is completely house trained (taught himself to ring the bell on the doorknob to go out) and has never had any mistakes in the house. He sleeps in our bedroom in his bed (though he can wander) and usually gets up around 6:45-7:00am. He is very affectionate and once he bonds he will be your shadow. He is a great watchdog and will bark at noises he doesn’t recognize. He is not good with other dogs and may be too active for small children under 6 or 7. He gets the zoomies like other pups and will run like crazy around the house for 5 minutes and then calm down. We live in an apartment which we have found out is not the ideal home for him…he needs a yard to play and run in and needs numerous walks also with someone who either works from home or is a stay at home parent.

Outside - Walks and explores calmly and confidently but will get little nervous in busy areas. - Shows interest in strangers and other dogs when walking past them. - No issues with other dogs and walks easily past them. Off lead - Calmly explores the surroundings. - Approachable and allows to be petted

He loves to relax near his people and is a loyal companion who feels most at ease when they’re home. Outdoors, he enjoys romping, exploring, and even playing fetch, happily returning the ball, but due to his curiosity and agility, he will need a securely fenced yard with a tall fence. Benz is a sweet boy. He turned 10 in February. We are looking for a loving family that will love him and give him affection and attention. The only reason we are looking to rehome him is because we are moving back to Europe. We don't want to take him with us due to his age and he has DCM. He currently takes 3 medications for this. They are pills that we just put in his food. He has responded very well to his treatment. You would never know that he even has a heart condition. We would need his new family to be able to continue giving him medication. He loves to chew on his bone, go for walks and just lounge around. Please consider making this sweet boy an addition to your family.
