This big lug of a pup came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC. Benji is affectionate, playful and very energetic. Zinnia is a gentle giant who came to ARC from Lee County Domestic Animal Services. When she arrived, she was thin and malnourished, and we had no idea she was expecting. Just a few weeks later, to our surprise, Zinnia blessed us with four beautiful puppies (All of whom have found their furever homes)! She has been an incredible mother, giving her babies all the love and care they needed. Now it’s her turn to be cared for — to relax, be spoiled, and enjoy the good life she so deserves. Zinnia will have to complete heartworm treatment prior to adoption, but if you are interested, don’t wait, apply now and start spending some time at ARC getting to know her. 🐾 Carver – Handsome Piebald Great Dane (≈115 lbs) 🐾 Meet Carver, the most perfect, well-socialized Great Dane! He’s a true gentleman who loves people, kids, and strangers alike, making him a dream dog to take everywhere — shopping, breweries, restaurants, or busy public places. Carver currently lives with two female Great Danes that he loves playing with, but he does not need another dog in his forever home — either scenario works for him. He is not reactive to their outdoor cats, though he has not yet been exposed to indoor cats. Carver is gentle, docile, and affectionate 24/7. He loves attention, leans in for cuddles, and always wants to be near his people. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and will even ask to go into his crate for quiet time. A great car rider, he enjoys adventures on the road as much as relaxing at home. On leash, Carver walks wonderfully — though he may get excited when seeing other dogs, which is the only area he could improve. His play style can be a little rough but he calms quickly with guidance. He comes when called, stands still for baths, and doesn’t mind having his paws touched. Carver is comfortable with older kids and would thrive in a family that can appreciate a loving, social Dane.
