Story
Meet Django! 🐾💙 Django is a gentle Great Dane with an even bigger heart. This super sweet, nice boy is Silver Paws VIP eligible and has already been on quite a journey—traveling all the way from New Mexico in hopes of finding his forever home. Django is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment and a loving home, he can continue on the path to a healthy, happy life. His calm, affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion, and he’s ready to trade the shelter for a cozy home where he can relax, be loved, and finally settle in. Django is looking for a compassionate family who will give him the care he needs and cherish him for the amazing, gentle soul he is. He’s ready to start his next chapter—could it be with you? 🐾

Story
This big lug of a pup came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC. Benji is affectionate, playful and very energetic. We’re looking for a younger, VERY active home for this sweet giant. Does this sound like your home? Why not make an appointment to come and meet him today! My ideal home:I'm looking for a younger, super-active home to call my own!I'm good with:Some Other Dogs Older Children Men Women  Birth date April 2020November 2, 2024, 4:32 pm

Story
Zinnia is a gentle giant who came to ARC from Lee County Domestic Animal Services. When she arrived, she was thin and malnourished, and we had no idea she was expecting. Just a few weeks later, to our surprise, Zinnia blessed us with four beautiful puppies (All of whom have found their furever homes)! She has been an incredible mother, giving her babies all the love and care they needed. Now it’s her turn to be cared for — to relax, be spoiled, and enjoy the good life she so deserves. Zinnia will have to complete heartworm treatment prior to adoption, but if you are interested, don’t wait, apply now and start spending some time at ARC getting to know her. Why not complete an application today and schedule an appointment to meet this amazing girl?  https://animalrefugecenter.com/adoption-application My ideal home: I need space to roam and play but a family who will snuggle is my goal. I'm good with: Some Other Dogs   Young Children   Older Children   Men   Women Date of birth June 2020    December 27, 2025, 3:43 pm

Story
*** WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?***Hello- my name is Zeus. I was surrendered to Guardians because my owners couldn’t take care of me anymore. I am a very good boy at 3 years old and topping the scales at a handsome 110 lbs, but even at that I'm a bit underweight and need to add a little bulk to my body. The great people here at the rescue have been helping me with that tho! I am working on my leash skills; I just get excited and sometimes get the zoomies on leash. I am a little shy when we first meet- I've had to go through these changes and am still trying to understand. But I do great with humans once I know I can trust you and I like other dogs and don’t even mind the rescue cats. I would love to find someone who is somewhat active so we can go on adventures together. Then, we can come home at night and share some popcorn and chill! My adoption fee of $350 includes up to date vaccinations, heartworm test (negative), neuter, microchip, deworming and all the preventative care I’ve had while here at the rescue. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt".If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Hello- my name is Gorda. I was surrendered to animal services after my owners couldn’t take care of me anymore. I am 6 years old, last weighed in at 110 lbs and a Great Dane mix- possibly with American Bulldog (best guess). I am a bit on the shy side, but a sweet, gentle girl. It takes me a couple of minutes to warm up to new people, then I love leaning up against you and getting pets! I walk well on leash and have be non-reactive to other dogs I have met.My $250 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
