Hello, my name is Kyra! I’m an 8 year old Great Dane weighing about 100 pounds. I know I’m a little older, but don’t let that fool you, I’m full of energy, healthy, and love to go on walks. I’m very friendly with everyone, cats, kids, dogs, and even a pig! I know sit, speak, shake, and stay. I walk great on a leash. I am fully potty trained and will tell you when I need to go. I prefer to have my own space when I eat, and I don't like sharing my kennel as it's my safe space. Overall I'm the best girl though and I’d love a home and family to spend the rest of my golden years with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. When "Irish eyes are smiling..." so ok, we are not likely from the Emerald Isle however, our eyes can show you what it means to be happy and safe :) We are the sisters three, Paige, Lindsey and Kelsey and we are here to tell you that we are some of the LUCKIEST non- Irish pups that are living! We were impounded at a local shelter and they were so full they were going to have to kill us to make more room :( This is a very typical situation in Texas, TOO MANY BABIES BEING BORN.... However, as we said, we are the LUCKY ONES! Another local rescue said, "we can help, even though we are full to the brim" and JUST LIKE THAT- REAL LIFE!! To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email ARL-Adoption@arl-iowa.org.---- Big goofball who loves playing in the yard and with toys - Likes being around people - Has been doing well with housetraining and crate-training in his foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule - Has been doing very well with other dogs in his foster home and might enjoy a calm dog friend in his new home - Can be shy and would benefit from continued confidence-building in his new home; ARL training classes would be great for that and for learning all his basic skills, too - Had double cherry eye surgery at the ARL and is doing well now (more info at ARL) - Experienced some swelling on his right leg that went away on its own; we are unsure of the cause and cannot guarantee that the swelling will not return in the future The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 74.6 Age: 1yrs 3mths 2wks
