Hi I`m Mac, and I`m a Great Dane/Lab mix. Apparently when they made me, somebody selected “puppy,” with the body type “extra large,” and left everything else at factory settings.I came here as a transfer from another shelter without much information about my past. We don`t know where I started, what my life looked like, or even how much bigger I`m planning to get.What we do know is that I`m a very sweet, playful guy who has already developed several important life skills.First, I love toys. I’ll play with you. I`ll play by myself. I`ll happily entertain myself while you attend to whatever humans do when they aren`t paying attention to puppies.But please understand that when purchasing toys for me, the words “extra durable” should be viewed less as a suggestion and more as a minimum requirement.I’m not intentionally destructive. I’m a quality-control specialist.I also enjoy treats, which is excellent news because I`m very food motivated. At my current rate of growth, you`re going to want every training advantage available before I`m large enough to have my own zip code.Fortunately, underneath all this puppy nonsense is one very sweet boy.When I`m not busy playing, chewing, growing, or conducting important toy research, I`m perfectly happy to flop over and collect a nice belly rub.At six months old, I`m still learning how to be a dog. I`ll need continued training, exercise, structure, appropriately sized toys, and someone who understands how to raise a giant-breed puppy.We don`t know much about my first six months.But considering how much growing I have left to do, maybe the more important question is who gets to be there for the rest.I`m Mac: 6 months old, 60 pounds, approximately 15 pounds of dog and 45 pounds of puppy nonsense. Batteries not included. Durable toys absolutely required.
