Story
Meet our gentle boy! This sweet boy is a total lovebug who believes there’s no such thing as too much affection. He adores cuddles, leans in for hugs, and will happily be your oversized lap companion if you let him. With a friendly nature and a heart as big as his paws, he’s happiest when he’s close to his people, soaking up attention and giving it right back. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home (and your couch) with love, this cuddle-loving pup is ready to meet you. 🐾

Story
Meet Hero – a lovable, larger-than-life pup looking for his very own hero! Don’t be fooled by his photos; Hero is a whopping 75-80 pounds of pure, giant puppy energy! This sweet guy is seeking someone with experience in handling large breeds to help guide him toward mastering his manners and leash skills. If you're ready to be leaned on (literally – he’s a "lean in for love" kind of guy), you’re in for plenty of affection. Hero loves exploring the yard, lounging on the couch, and gnawing away at his favorite chewy bones. He thinks playtime should be an ongoing event, but he’s learning that it’s important to mind his p's and q's. With a strong prey drive, Hero is not the right fit for a home with kitties or small animals. He’s lived with other dogs in the past, so any dog introductions will be required to make sure your dog is just as into Hero as you are! Despite being a lot to handle at times, Hero is a sweet, bright boy who’s all about earning a snack or two! He’s motivated by tasty treats and thrives with consistency – whether that’s in training, patience, or love. Hero is patiently waiting for someone to be his guiding hero and bring him home. Could that hero be you? Apply to adopt Hero at the MAS website below – you won’t regret it! DOB: 2 / 21 / 2023 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Anniyha,,“Niyha” for short was born September 8, 2022. She is a very sweet girl! She does get super excited with any initial interaction, she needs calm assertive reminders to stay down and not jump up, she tries very hard to obey and Loves to please. She is crate trained-(when left alone and during the night), she is on a set schedule bedtime by 8pm and morning wake up outside 7am. We do have a loose schedule during the day that is mostly followed- including meals, walks(on-leash) and playtime(sometimes playing fetch, still learning to “bring it back”, “drop it”). She also knows commands like “sit”, “wait”, “not yours”, “get ‘em” or “get it”, “paw”/“other paw”, “lay-down”. She loves bones, toys and treats(sliced cheese is her favorite(but not too much). She is continuing to learn and does require lots of patience and positive attention🩷

Story
Application link https://forms.gle/mtaWGXgjgBRLat1T7 My name is AJ. My mother was found in a barn after giving birth to the 12 of us on October 10th. Mama was so exhausted, weak and hungry and most of all scared. Her milk was not even enough for the 12 of us because she had been abandoned and left on her own while we were growing in her tummy, but we nursed anyway just thankful for her warmth and her repeated licking and snuggling to comfort us. The kind loving Huddleston family found us and contacted Greg King Canine Recovery Dog Rescue for help. Our mom got all the food she needed and even learned to start trusting humans again! I promise I will be the best girl that I can if you will let me live with you and I would love to have some toys by myself because I don't get to play with the few that we have very much, because Miss Lindy says we all have to share. We are now weaned, (Mom says she could not be happier about that) and eating all the puppy food our tummies can hold. All I need is my own person, because the 12 of us have to share 2 people and we have to stay at the farm by ourselves while they are at work. I get very lonesome. Date of Birth October 10, 2025 The adoption fee is $150, if you pick up at our Rescue in Texarkana Texas. If we transport the puppy, it’s $75 for transport which has to be paid upfront, but the adoption fee is not paid until you pick up the puppy at the location you select that’s on our transport route.. Only the $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to one of the 7 locations on our transport route. The $100 adoption fee is not due until you pick him/her up on the transport date at the location you select on the "Transport Roster Form" You also have the option to designate someone else to pick up your pet as long as we know in advance. If you haven’t yet seen our Facebook Reels of past adoptions and transports, please do so. The mother dog was a pregnant stray that had her 12 babies in a barn that provided warmth and safety and then food and love once they were discovered. We started NeoPar vaccinations and dewormers at 5 weeks. Puppies receive 3 puppy shots before they are transported. We provide a folder for you to take to your veterinarian when you pick up your puppy with medical records/information. Dominant breed information is based on physical traits of parents and puppies. Mother dog looks like an Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal Shepherd, possibly Boxer mix and we believe that daddy is a Great Pyrenees. Greg King Canine Recovery dog rescue is located at 484 Farren Road in Texarkana, Texas 75503. Once a month, we transport all pre-adopted dogs and puppies to the following 7 cities because all of the shelters in our area are kill shelters, so we try to save all that we can by getting them adopted and transporting them to their new homes. Because it is a 1000 mile transport one way, we have to leave Texarkana, Texas the day before you are scheduled to pick up of your new dog or puppy. I will provide a live Google Map link in order that you may follow our travel progress to pick up at one of these seven locations on our transport route, or if I have to stay at the rescue to care for all of our rescues, I will give you frequent updates of the transport's travel progress. Poplar Bluff, Missouri Arnold, Missouri Springfield, Illinois Bloomington, Illinois Rockford, Illinois Joliet, Illinois Kalamazoo, Michigan Please contact me, Latrell King, at 903-280-4233 for adoption questions. Please send a text before calling and then leave a voicemail because I don’t usually have my phone with me when I’m taking care of the puppies, cleaning kennels, feeding, vaccinating, etc. Cell phones are not puppy proof. I will return your call or respond to your message ASAP. I will explain the process with the approval of your application.
