He’s looking for a patient, understanding, and quiet home that will continue helping him build confidence and feel safe. He’s a total “stage 5 clinger” with his foster mom and will form a deep bond with his person. He can still be shy and startle easily, but once he trusts you, his goofy puppy side shines He loves: Keeping a paw on you while you pet him Snuggling close Other dogs (a confident dog sibling would be AMAZING for him!) Murphy is fully housebroken and crate trained — his crate is his safe space. Must have Another dog in the home as it would help him learn that the world (and humans) aren’t so scary after all. Meet Maple! Born 3/21/20down south recused from Erie County spca in Jan 21. Loving and loyal and a full time best friend. Fully house trained very smart to her surroundings and protective. She needs room to have her beat life. Our situation has limited her yard time and she needs more activity. In July 25 my 76yr old mother moved in with us and that has changed our dynamic. Maple loves her treat ball and hooves for mental stimulation and exercise. At 75lbs she needs it but I have struggled with diabetes and foot ulcers not allowing me to walk her or myself as much as she needs. She is a wonderful companion but can get nippy to others, including my wife and 25+yrs of marriage is leading me to the difficult decision to find better suitors for her.
