Story
Name: Meet Bruce! Gender: Male Age: 1 year Current Weight: 45lbs Breed: Mixed breed - Dane mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Unknown Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Bruce is an energetic and affectionate pup who loves a family that enjoys both active play and relaxing together. He's great with other dogs and can even entertain himself, making him a wonderful addition to the right home. Bruce is looking for a family ready to help him grow in trust and love, ideally with older kids who can handle his lively spirit. A family that doesn’t mind sloppy kisses and serious snuggles. If you're looking for a playful, loving dog to complete your family, Bruce might be your perfect match. Likes: Bruce is the ultimate cuddler and toy enthusiast! Whether he's enjoying a good belly rub, playing fetch, or chomping on his favorite ice cube snack, he's all about happiness and love. Bruce's joyful spirit and deep love for his people and friends make every moment special. Dislikes: He's a brave little guy who’s working on feeling more comfortable in new environments. Loud noises can still be a bit overwhelming for him, but with patience and love, he's learning to trust and explore. Bruce's playful spirit is worth the journey! What makes this dog special: Bruce is a resilient soul who was dumped at a landfill, confused and heartbroken. We learned quickly that Bruce had a broken leg, and it did not take a doctor to see that the X-rays were really bad. After a successful FHO surgery and ongoing physical therapy, he's on the path to a new chapter filled with hope, strength, and a few charming scars to tell his story. Bruce's adorable face and loving nature truly shine through, showcasing a heart that's remained full of love despite everything he's been through. He's ready to share his kindness with a forever family that will cherish him. Bruce's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2544308##

Story
This is Henry. He is 3 years old and my soul dog. Unfortunately his anxiety is too much to handle around my young child and it’s cruel to him to be subjected to our home. He’s a very good boy, he’s house trained, a little sassy but knows basic commands. He’s clumsy, a bed bug and love to play fetch. Henry is very loved and deserves the world. Everyone who meets him adores him. Henry has a very sensitive tummy, so he can only eat a certain brand and flavor of dog food, and no dog treats. He loves produce as his treats (carrots, bell peppers, asparagus, strawberries, blueberries and bananas) and isn’t very food motivated. I trained him with ‘good boy’ and pets! He’s a bit weary of men, not always but especially if they are wearing hats. He’s too mouthy when playing so he’s not great with kids.

Story
Naomi is a beautiful Great Dane mix with all the classic Great Dane personality traits people adore. She is already spayed and does very well in the company of other dogs, enjoying both their presence and companionship. Naomi would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard, as she can be a bit flighty and is still building confidence in new environments. She can be nervous around new people and loud noises, but she warms up with time, patience, and gentle reassurance. Once Naomi feels comfortable and trusts you, she becomes completely devoted and loves being close to her people. She forms strong bonds and is happiest when she can stay near those she loves. With a calm home, consistent routine, and a family willing to let her open up at her own pace, Naomi will make a loyal, affectionate, and deeply loving companion.
