Story
This is Henry. He is 3 years old and my soul dog. Unfortunately his anxiety is too much to handle around my young child and it’s cruel to him to be subjected to our home. He’s a very good boy, he’s house trained, a little sassy but knows basic commands. He’s clumsy, a bed bug and love to play fetch. Henry is very loved and deserves the world. Everyone who meets him adores him. Henry has a very sensitive tummy, so he can only eat a certain brand and flavor of dog food, and no dog treats. He loves produce as his treats (carrots, bell peppers, asparagus, strawberries, blueberries and bananas) and isn’t very food motivated. I trained him with ‘good boy’ and pets! He’s a bit weary of men, not always but especially if they are wearing hats. He’s too mouthy when playing so he’s not great with kids.

Story
Naomi is a beautiful Great Dane mix with all the classic Great Dane personality traits people adore. She is already spayed and does very well in the company of other dogs, enjoying both their presence and companionship. Naomi would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard, as she can be a bit flighty and is still building confidence in new environments. She can be nervous around new people and loud noises, but she warms up with time, patience, and gentle reassurance. Once Naomi feels comfortable and trusts you, she becomes completely devoted and loves being close to her people. She forms strong bonds and is happiest when she can stay near those she loves. With a calm home, consistent routine, and a family willing to let her open up at her own pace, Naomi will make a loyal, affectionate, and deeply loving companion.

Story
Meet ClaireClaire is a hound/pointer type mix weighing about 76 pounds with a healthy dose of Great Dane. She is estimated to be around a year old. While she has a tall, leggy frame, shes best described as large but not giant built more like a graceful, athletic gal than a bulky dog. This sweet, fun-loving girl has a personality that makes people smile. Volunteers say shes like the lovable bloodhound from Lady and the Tramp always sniffing everything, with a soft, floppy mouth that seems to bounce along as she explores the world. Claire was so curious and enthusiastic during her photo shoot that she kept moving, making pictures a bit of a challenge (because there was just too much to see and smell!).Despite her size, Claire does quite well on leash, especially considering how new so much of the world still is to her. She was a little unsure about stairs at first, but with gentle encouragement she figured them out. Shed likely never been on a couch before either once she realized it was okay, she climbed up and settled in, showing her sweet, affectionate side.Claire is curious, gentle, and ready to learn a dog who will thrive with patient guidance, love, and plenty of opportunities to explore. Shes looking for a home where she can sniff, snooze, and be adored.

Once he trusts/likes you, he will follow you anywhere. It will take a day or two for him to choose his person. A week for him to settle in.   He has been through a lot recently so we gave him time and space. He loves to play with other dogs, after proper introductions. He loves his stuffed cow toy and bones. Dont let him in your bed or it becomes his! He is going to need some basic training.  The only command he knows is 'sit'. He is totally housebroken, though NOT crate trained.Click here to watch a video of Maynard.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
