🧸❤️ MEET TEDDY BEAR — 135+ POUNDS OF PURE LOVE! ❤️🧸Teddy Bear is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how anyone could ever let him go!This handsome, approximately 5-year-old Great Dane is a big, goofy, slightly clumsy lovebug who thinks he's a lap dog. His favorite things? His people, cuddling, tennis balls, and long naps on the couch!Teddy Bear has mastered the art of getting attention. He'll tuck his enormous head under your hand, nudge you for pets, rest his cheek against yours, or attempt to climb into your lap. And if you share your bed, be prepared for 135 pounds of snuggles! 😂He absolutely LOVES playing fetch and has been incredibly gentle and affectionate with the 2- and 4-year-old children in his foster home. He's also housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands, walks well in a harness, and rides nicely in the car.❤️ Teddy Bear does need a special home. While he generally likes other dogs, he struggles with sharing his favorite person so Teddy Bear would love being the only dog getting attention.Teddy Bear has made incredible progress physically! He arrived needing significant TLC, has gained weight, and continues to get healthier. He does have a perineal hernia that is currently managed with diet, although surgery may be needed in the future. He also has a few masses being monitored by his veterinary team. His adopter will need to be committed to his ongoing medical care. And one funny little detail? Teddy Bear needs his bottom wiped after potty breaks. Thankfully, he stands patiently and waits for his cleanup like a perfect gentleman! 😂If you have room in your heart and on your couch for this gentle giant, apply to adopt Teddy Bear at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $200🐾 Please share to help Teddy Bear find his forever home! 🧸❤️

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Headline: Meet Slim Jim — Your Goofy, People‑Loving Velcro Sidekick! Personality: Slim Jim is a goofy, people‑loving velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He follows you everywhere, curls himself into the tiniest ball imaginable, and can twist into hilarious pretzel‑like positions that keep you laughing daily. He’s full of affection, full of personality, and full of love. He’s an energetic walker who can easily do five miles and still have a round of zoomies left in him, but once he’s had his fun, he becomes a true nap king — happiest snuggled up beside you or tucked into one of his signature curled‑up poses. Slim Jim does have separation anxiety and, at this stage, cannot be left alone. He thrives with someone who is home often and can give him the reassurance and structure he needs. He’s not able to tolerate a crate when left alone, but with patience and consistency, he has great potential to improve. For now, he needs a home where he won’t be left solo and can enjoy the comfort of being near his person. Slim Jim is a loyal shadow, a silly companion, and a deeply affectionate dog who brings warmth, laughter, and devotion to every day. He’s looking for someone who wants a true sidekick — a dog who will adore them endlessly. Favorite Activities: Slim Jim’s favorite things in life are wonderfully simple: long walks, cozy naps, and chewing on a good bone. He loves getting out for his daily strolls and can happily go for miles, taking in all the sights and smells. Once he’s had his exercise (and a round of zoomies), he’s all about settling in for a nap — preferably curled up in one of his signature tiny‑ball positions. When he’s awake and relaxing, a sturdy chew bone is his go‑to pastime. As long as he’s close to his person, Slim Jim is content, happy, and fully in his element. Medical Issues: Slim Jim arrived in rescue extremely underweight, but with proper care and nutrition he has made a strong recovery. He is healthy, gaining steadily, and just needs to continue putting on a bit more weight. He has no ongoing medical issues and is thriving in foster care. What would be the best kind of home: Slim Jim is looking for a patient, adult home that can offer structure, consistency, and plenty of companionship. Because he is a big, enthusiastic 75‑lb lap‑dog who still jumps when excited, he would do best in a home without young children; respectful kids 12+ may be appropriate. He is dog‑reactive and prefers to have his person all to himself, so he is best as an only dog, though a calm, respectful dog may be possible with careful introductions. Cats are unknown. Slim Jim cannot be left alone at this time and needs someone who is home consistently. A two‑adult household would be ideal so he can share his affection and not become overly dependent on just one person. He loves all people and bonds quickly. Before rescue, Slim Jim lived on the streets and had to survive on his own. In the last few months, he has been learning how to be a household dog — and despite his tough past, he shows no ill will toward humans. He is still worried that his next meal may not be guaranteed, so structure, predictable routines, and trust‑building are key to helping him feel secure. He enjoys long walks and currently gets all his exercise on leash, but he would love a fenced yard to explore. A secure 6' fence is recommended, as he is agile and athletic. Although estimated to be around four years old, Slim Jim still has some puppy energy and enthusiasm. He is food‑motivated, eager to please, and will thrive with continued basic training to help him improve his manners (jumping, counter surfing, and leash reactivity). Additional Comments: Slim Jim’s life has changed completely in just three months. After surviving on the streets and having to fend for himself, he is now learning how to be a loved, indoor family dog — and he is blossoming. Despite his tough past, he shows no ill will toward people and greets everyone with affection and trust. He is still learning that meals are consistent and safe, so structure and routine help him feel secure. Slim Jim has so much potential and is already proving what a sweet, loving, devoted companion he can be. With the right home, he will continue to grow into the incredible dog he’s meant to be.Click here to watch a video of Slim Jim.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Hello! I'm a newly sworn in United States Airmen in the delayed entry program. I'll be shipping out anywhere between November 1, 2026 - December 2026. I'm looking for a new home for my best friend. I'm so excited to serve my country, but leaving Hogan is the hardest part about my decision. I want to find a loving home for Hogan. Hogan is a velcro dog. He is the most happy when he can be laying down next to you. He is 9 years old but he still has tons of energy for long walks and play time. He's definitely slowing down with time, but you'll be surprised at how much energy he still has for a 9 year old dog. He is excitable when meeting someone for the first time, but quickly calms and listens to commands. He knows all the basic/needed commands, but he is picky about what he is motivated by, so keeping proper treats will go along way. He is great meeting all people, including children. However, I do not allow nor suggest on-leash meetings. He plays well with other dogs.
