Story
Meet Doug! Doug is a handsome 1-year-old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. Although his previous home’s DNA test labeled him as 100% Great Pyrenees, we know his mother wasn’t a Pyr—so he’s truly a unique mix! Doug has had obedience training, but he’s still quite skittish and needs a patient, calm adopter who can help him continue building confidence. Because of his timid nature, he is not suited for homes with children under 10. He is housebroken. He does well with other dogs and cats and would thrive in a quiet household where he can feel safe and settle in at his own pace. Doug has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and heartworm tested negative. His adoption fee is $250. If you have a peaceful home, a gentle approach, and a heart ready to help a shy boy blossom, Doug may be the perfect match for you.February 21, 2026, 12:46 pm

Story
Lacy is an 8-month-old Lab / Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever mix with the sweetest soul and so much love to give. At first glance, she may seem painfully shy — but give her a little patience and kindness, and you’ll watch her transform. Once Lacy feels safe, her outgoing and playful personality shines through. Her love for other dogs is stronger than her fear of new people, and she gains so much confidence from her furry friends. A home with another friendly, playful dog would truly help her continue to blossom. Lacy is full of youthful energy and absolutely loves to play — whether it’s backyard zoomies, wrestling with dog buddies, or exploring the world by your side. After she’s had her fun, she’s happy to relax and enjoy the comfort of home. She’s already a superstar when it comes to manners: Great with kids Wonderful with other animals Potty trained Crate trained Leash trained Lacy is looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the time she needs to build trust. In return, you’ll get a loyal, playful, and deeply devoted best friend who will bond with you in the most special way. Story
Yuki is a 3 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.
