Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Bear is a one-two year old male Great Pyrenees, about 85-90 lbs.  He came to us as part of a multi-dog intake.  Super sweet boy, loves people, good with other dogs, NOT good with chickens as thinks they are quite tasty.  Unsure on cats.  Was outside so likely not formally housetrained.  Did not live with livestock so no livestock guarding experience.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. Story

  Meet our “fancy” litter! We have four girls; Bourke, Tiffany, Prada and Chanel. Then we have four boys; Wang, Oscar, Coach, Calvin. These sweet 3 1/2-month-old mixes of Great Pyrenees and Hound weigh between 10 and 22 pounds, with Calvin being the smallest and Wang the biggest, and should mature to around 60 pounds. They each wear medium white and black coats while Tiffany and Coach have some brown mixed in! They love playing with people, other dogs and even do well with the cats! Each of these pups would make a great family dog. They love toys and treats! (ME, 4/25/24)     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip .
