Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Everest is a female Great Pyrenees, about 75 lbs, came up as a stray and the finders said she was a bit nippy with children and wary of strangers.  After getting her into the Shelter we think she has had very little exposure to much of anything as other dogs seemed all new to her but in short order she settled down.  We have found her to be very sweet but can startle at something loud.  So, for safety going to say no children, and someone with flock guarding breed/large dog experience would be best - not for a first time dog owner.  Very pretty girl indeed.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. Just A BIG TEDDY BEAR Koda is a 2-3 year old Pyrenees weighing in at 90 lbs. He is currently working on gaining a few extra lbs. This boy is just a big silly goofball with a heart of gold. Koda loves to play and is just the sweetest guy around. If he was a bug he would be a lovebug. Throw this boy a ball or take him on a car ride and he will promise to be your BFF. Koda has mastered his potty and leash training however he is not a fan of the crate. He prefers to be gated in a room instead, he is nondestructive. Great with dogs and kids, NO chickens please. A securely fenced in yard is required in Koda’s new home. Koda does not like to be left alone for more than 8 hrs at a time. Koda thrives on spending quality time with the people he loves the most. Play time, cuddle time, a long drive down some windy backroads, as long as it is spent with you this guy is in heaven. Will you make Koda’s dream come true?
