Story
Rosie is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.Say a quiet hello to Rosie! This gracious lady is consistently described as gentle, calm and affectionate. Being the centre of attention is not for Rosie - she`s happier quietly resting nearby while you work from home, or keeping you company in the car while watching the world go by. Rosie`s sweet personality extends to her house manners - she is relaxed indoors and can be trusted not to chew destructively when left alone. Members of Rosie`s circle of friends can look forward to movie night snuggles, long brushing sessions and the cutest little happy paws dance when you arrive home! But, while Rosie bonds hard, she does not give her trust easily. Rosie is a timid dog who requires time, consistency and patience to build bonds with new people. Loud noises, unexpected movements, and new objects can also trigger fear in Rosie, so a peaceful home with predictable routines and access to quiet, Rosie-only safe spaces will be important to ensure Rosie can relax and feel secure. Once comfortable, Rosie can easily be left home alone for longer periods, but her new adopters should plan on staying home with her for several days to help reduce her stress during the transition period. Rosie continues to make new strides in confidence every day. Right now, she`s working on figuring out what exactly a `zoomie` is really for. If you are looking for a loyal companion, are patient and gentle, and can help Rosie figure out this whole `zoomie` thing, then reach out to meet this incredible girl!A bit about Rosie:- has lived with kids; older, dog-savvy children recommended- has lived with cats; slow, controlled introductions recommended- has lived with a dog; potential for calm, social dog pending successful introduction- currently on a diet and medication to manage allergies as well as medication for stress; may need to be continued long term

Story
**Zuri is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Zuri is a sweet and playful girl with so much love to share and a personality that shines once she feels comfortable!Zuri can be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, but with patience and a gentle approach, her affectionate side begins to come through. She enjoys spending time with her people, going for walks, and exploring the world at her own pace. She`s also housetrained and has previously shown lovely leash manners!Zuri is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and enjoy all the love and attention for herself. While she has a playful side, she has struggled with sharing her space and valued belongings with other animals, so a pet-free home will help set her up for success. She can also become overwhelmed in certain situations and would benefit from a patient family who can respect her boundaries, provide predictable routines, and continue building her confidence through positive reinforcement. With the right environment, understanding, and plenty of love, Zuri has the opportunity to settle in, feel secure, and show her future family just how special she is. She`s ready for a fresh start and a home where she can truly thrive!A little bit about Zuri:Kids: Has previously lived with children and may do well with respectful children who understand canine body language and appropriate interactions. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.Cats/Small Animals: No cats or other small animals in the home due to a history of resource guarding.Dogs: Must be the only dog in the home.May need some extra guidance navigating interactions with other dogs and unfamiliar people.
