Story
Cloud | Male | 3 years old | Great Pyrenees Weight: Approx. 32kg Cloud is a stunning Great Pyrenees with a soft, fluffy double coat. True to his breed, also known as a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Cloud has a gentle and cozy exterior with a strong and protective inner nature. He’s not just calm and friendly—his gentleness comes from a deep-rooted confidence, as he believes in protecting those around him. Cloud has a sweet, peaceful personality, but don’t let that fool you. Beneath his calm demeanor, he has a firm sense of responsibility and determination to protect his surroundings. Though he’s a bit shy, you’ll quickly sense his trust and strength. Cloud is a high-energy dog, so he would thrive in a home with a large yard. He loves being active, playing, and running around. Daily outdoor activity is essential to keep him happy and healthy. He’s playful and enjoys both eating and having fun, showcasing his cheerful and innocent side. Despite his past, where he was abandoned at a shelter, Cloud is quick to warm up to new people. While he hasn't had much basic training yet, Cloud is highly intelligent, and positive reinforcement, such as treats, helps him learn quickly. He may pull on the leash during walks out of curiosity, but he’s improving with practice and guidance. Cloud is also great with other dogs, including smaller ones. He’s big in size but still exhibits the endearing behaviors of a puppy, which make him even more lovable. Cloud would be best suited for someone who understands the Great Pyrenees breed or enjoys large dogs and is looking for a companion to enjoy daily outdoor activities with. If you're ready for a loyal, loving companion and are willing to provide training and structure, Cloud will be a lifelong friend, offering deep love and trust in return.

Story
Hello out there!! My name is BISHOP and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pyrenees/Lab mix (best guess, really!) Age: approx. 2-3 years Gender: Male Weight: 55 lbs  Current Location: TEXAS RESCUE STORY - Not much is known about my life before rescue, but somehow I ended up on the euthanasia list at a local shelter here in Texas. My days there were numbered, as they needed to make room for more dogs. Luckily, someone contacted County Roads Rescue, and the rest is history! They pulled me from the shelter and are oh so glad they did because I am the sweetest, silliest boy who is super deserving of a lovign home.  TEMPERAMENT - I am described as very loving, friendly, and playful boy. My favourite activity is the zoomies, hehe. In general, I have quite good manners (with the exception of the occasional counter surfing... sorry not sorry).  I am a social butterfly and see everyone as a friend (cats, dogs, humans of all ages... you name it, I love it!) I am an active boy who will thrive in an home where we go on lots of adventures, walkies, hikes, etc. ENERGY LEVEL - Medium/High - I am still quite a young at heart lad who can be energetic and playful. Once my brain and body are sufficiently exercised, I'm a sweet boy who enjoys affection and snuggles. GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yup! Here is a video of me meeting some kiddos, I'm just the happiest, sweetest boy!  as with ALL dogs, I should always be supervised around children and I need to have my space respected. It's important to remember I am a rescue pup with minimal training, so I may play nip or bounce/jump up on people (including children!) Dogs – Yup! Check out my video, I am the ultimate playmate! I absolutely LOVE to play and zoom with other dogs who match my energy. Cats – Yes, I don't show much interest (video) and could probably live with a dog-savvy cat. PREY DRIVE - Low, however I don't know how I'll react to squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, if they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – I do pretty well on a slip leash (once I've got my initial zoomies out) but would love an adopter who is willing to continue working with me on my leash skills.  Crate trained -  Yes! Having lived in a kennel/shelter environment for quite some time, my kennel is my safe space. There may be an adjustment period when I go to my new home, but with proper use, the crate can be my safe space :) House trained – Work in progress! I am very clean inside my crate/kennel space, so my rescuers think I'll pick up housetraining pretty quick. I'm sure with frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement in my new home, I'll catch on quickly! Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  I have tested negative for heartworm. I will be tested for distemper and parvo before travelling (although I've been vaccinated for both!) NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00, including applicable taxes ($750.00 CAD + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my ground transport to Edmonds, Washington. My adopter needs to be willing to drive to Edmonds, Washington to pick me up! :)  ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Yeoreum💕 (her name means “Summer” in Korean) 💙 Name : Yeoreum 💙 Gender : Female 💙 Age : Estimated 3 years old (Born in February 2022) 💙 Weight : 20 kg / 44 lb 💙 Adogs News Account : @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Yeoreum is one of the dogs that the Adogs team rescued from a dogslaughter farm in 2022. Spending a long time there, she was about to be put down, but Adogs was able to rescue her just in the nick of time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Has a calm and timid personality and is slow to adapt to new environments. When strangers approach her, she tends to avoid them and leaves the area. Previously, she had to be cornered for touching to be possible, but has recently become more comfortable with pets. Still, she doesn’t stay still and tries to get away if strangers pick her up. She also runs away from familiar people, but she can be leashed and touched when cornered. She accepts treats if you drop it on the ground. * With Dogs: If a new dog approaches too closely or annoys her, she growls and snarls to express her displeasure. May bite other dogs so caution is needed. * With Cats: Shows no reaction to cats she encounters during walks and focuses on the person walking with her. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet since she lives communally with other dogs at our center. May need training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Unknown, since she lives communally at our center. * Grooming: Was given a bath after getting dirty on a walk, and calmly accepted it! * Walks: Runs away and avoids the leash, but once the leash is actually on, she follows her handler well on walks. * Car Sickness: Does not show any symptoms of motion sickness during short distances, like when going to the veterinary clinic. Unclear how she would do on long-distance trips. * Biting: When another dog suddenly approaches and gets too pushy, she growls to tell them to stop. * Likes: Has a strong appetite and loves to eat. Enjoys resting indoors alone. She has had extended kennel training so she is able to handle long periods of crating, such as if she goes on an airplane or on a long drive. * Dislikes: Gets surprised and runs away when people approach, but accepts pets calmly once you actually manage to touch her.

Story
Meet Derick - an energetic goofball of fun, enthusiasm and a little chaos!✨This lively fella is bursting with personality and ready for a new adventure, but he's also got a lot of learning to do.📝 Derick gets very excited when he's around his favorite people (it's not hard to get on that list)! His excitement usually comes out in the form of jumping up and trying to give lots of kisses. 🐶Derick is a smart boy, but can be a little stubborn at times; so he'll need a patient, positive-minded owner who's excited to help him grow into the best dog he can be.Think of Derick as a puppy in a full-grown dog's body-full of zest, curiosity, and a whole lot of energy! He loves to stay busy and thrives on both mental and physical stimulation.🧩 Long walks, exciting playtime, puzzle toys, and training games that challenge his mind are perfect to help him burn off that excess energy and learn good habits.Derick is still figuring out his manners and can be quite jumpy and mouthy, so consistent training, gentle boundaries, and lots of praise will help him learn to settle and listen. With patience and love, he can become a confident, happy, and loyal companion who loves to learn new tricks and share adventures.🐕‍🦺⛰️If you're ready to take on a lively, fun-loving dog who's got a big personality and needs a bit of guidance along the way, Derick is your perfect match! Prepare for lots of love, laughter, and tail-wagging fun (and maybe some cheeky kisses)!🩵If you are interested in making Derick the newest member of your family, hit the link below to submit a pre-adoption questionnaire today!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 34.2 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks
