Story
Meet DONZI! This handsome boy is a roughly 1.5 to 2-year-old Great Pyrenees, weighing about 85 pounds. True to his breed, Donzi is a gentle giant with a calm, loyal, and steady personality. He’s wonderful with the majority of dogs and has that sweet, easygoing nature that makes Great Pyrenees so special. When Donzi was rescued, he had a serious chunk missing from his leg from what we assume was an unwelcome encounter with some barbed wire while running astray. Thanks to the care of his rescue team, he was stitched up and after 3 months of daily wound care and lots of TLC, he is now healed ENTIRELY. His resilience shows just how strong and loving he is — despite what he’s been through, Donzi continues to trust and give love freely. Donzi is ready to find a family who will give him the love and security he deserves. Whether he’s relaxing in the yard (his favorite domain), joining you on a walk, or simply being your fluffy best friend, Donzi will fill your days with warmth and companionship. Although Donzi is often a gentle giant, he requires a home with a firm handler able to accommodate his large breed. Please note: Home checks and veterinarian checks are required for adoption. Adoption fee: $350. Please visit https://pawsfurrecovery.org/adopt to apply!

Story
Hey there, future best friend! My name’s Nacho, and while my name might be cheesy, I take my role as a loyal, loveable, and slightly dramatic sidekick very seriously.I can be a little nervous at first—strangers are weird, and I like to take my time warming up. Little kids? Not really my scene. But give me patience and kindness, and I’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and couch snuggles in return. I also recently got the chance to join in on doggy playgroups at H.A.L.O. and have been enjoying the company of canine pals. So if you have another dog (I am also good to go with cats!) then living side by side should be a piece of cake. Quick note: I once swallowed something I shouldn’t have and needed medical care. I’m all better now, but I’ll need a home that keeps tempting objects safely out of reach—no more surprise vet visits, please!I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and calm when left alone. I love being outside—whether it’s walks, backyard zoomies, or soaking up the sun—and I turn into a total cuddle bug once the excitement winds down. I’m also completely obsessed with treats and squeaky toys, and I’ll greet you like you’ve been gone forever—even if you just stepped out to check the mail.If you’re looking for a devoted, goofy, treat-loving companion, let’s see if we’re nacho average perfect match!Requirements: Martingale collar; Kids 12+ (anxious)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
