Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Fontina is a Great Pyrenees mix puppy (estimated DOB 3/15/26) with a fun, playful personality and an independent streak. She enjoys romping around with toys and her siblings, but she’s also happy entertaining herself when playtime winds down. Like her littermates, Fontina is currently in the puppy chewing phase, so she’ll need plenty of appropriate toys and guidance as she learns. She’s also very enthusiastic about snacks and meals — if food is available, Fontina is ready to volunteer as taste tester. As she grows, Fontina will need continued support with house training, crate training, and basic obedience to help her become the best companion possible. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Gouda is a Great Pyrenees mix puppy (estimated DOB 3/15/26) who is already shaping up to be a wonderful companion. He loves spending time with his people but is also happy entertaining himself with toys, outdoor playtime, and wrestling with his siblings. His foster family thinks he’d enjoy having a dog sibling in his future home, especially since he does so well with his Chow Chow foster brother. Gouda also did great meeting kids. Like most puppies, he’s currently in his “everything looks chewable” era, but he responds well to redirection and enjoys having plenty of toys to keep him busy. As with all puppies, Gouda will need continued work with house training, crate training, and basic obedience as he grows into the big dog he’s destined to become. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
This is Loki, a handsome 3-month-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix who currently weighs 12.2 pounds. He arrived at Wish Bone with his three siblings. He’s currently working on house- and crate-training and is doing well—especially with using a potty pad when he can’t make it outside. During the day, he’s gated in the kitchen with his sister and will often choose to sleep in his crate with the door left open. Loki gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, and actually seems to gravitate more toward children than adults. He enjoys spending time playing in the yard, chewing on a good bone, playing with toys, and riding nicely in the car. Loki is a quiet, gentle boy who can be a bit reserved at first. He may take a few minutes to warm up, but once he does, his tail starts wagging and his sweet personality shines through. He tends to be more of a follower—waiting for his sister or other dogs to take the lead before joining in. It seems that Loki may not have had much early human interaction, so he can be a little unsure about being approached or picked up. He does best when allowed to come to you on his own terms. Loki would thrive in a patient, understanding home—especially one with a confident canine companion. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Cheddar is a Great Pyrenees mix puppy (estimated DOB 3/15/26) with a big personality packed into one fluffy little package. She can be feisty and vocal with other dogs at times, and she’s not afraid to stand her ground, even around adult dogs. But underneath all that confidence is a sensitive puppy who loves curling up close to her people — preferably with her head resting in your lap. Cheddar is currently crated in the bedroom at night and does well with the routine. She has done well with dogs, cats, and children as young as 3 years old. Like any puppy, she’ll benefit from continued guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement as she learns good manners and boundaries. Cheddar especially enjoys carrot sticks as treats. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
