Story
Bia is a Great Pyrenees/ German Shepherd mix born on 1/13/2023. She was found in Texas with approximately 50 other dogs who had been left to fend for themselves. Bia was the lone survivor of her litter and with the help of various rescue partners, she made her way to Nebraska to start her new life! Bia loves outdoor adventures and will do great with an active owner or family. She likes kids but doesn't always understand her size and when she jumps it can be intimidating. Bia gets nervous around new people and recently had a hard time with a stranger in her house so we recommend an experienced owner with a training plan to help her overcome her fears and reactivity. She gets along with other dogs and doesn't mind playing rough. We think she would do great with having a "job" or skill such as agility training to keep her body and mind active. She is potty trained, kennel trained, and knows a couple of basic commands. The suggested adoption fee for Bia is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1689628##

Story
Sulley is a very active, sweet and goofy Mini Bernadoodle (b. April 2021).  He enjoys playing chase wtih his toys, going on runs/walks and playing tug.  He loves to play and is very intelligent.  He loves doing treat puzzles.  He knows quite a few commands: sit, down, stay/wait, high-five/shake - just to name a few!  Sulley is not much of a cuddler, but he loves pets and belly rubs.  He thrives on a routine - he will let you know when it is meal time and loves when he can expect walks/activity at a certain time.  The perfect home for Sulley would be without small children as he tends to be anxious around them.  He would love a super active family that would take him on long walks.  He would also be okay with a little quiet from time to time so he can rest up in between activities.  He prefers women and would love to have another dog or cat around.  Sulley is leash trained and has been involved in training for fear-based reactivity while walking (i.e. skateboards, bikes, other dogs). The suggested adoption donation for Sulley is $500, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Adoptions for Sulley are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
