Story
Hi!  I'm Wisteria and I'm about 6 years old (born 2019).  I'm a friendly girl and I get along with other dogs, cats and even kids of all ages.  Sometimes I'm just a little shy around new people, but I'll warm up eventually.  I prefer to be around women and I would really like to be in a house with another dog, ideally a small one.  I would also be okay having a feline friend!  I just like to have someone around to keep me company. I'm looking for a house that has a fenced yard so I feel safe and secure when I'm spending time outside. I am house trained and have good manners.  I'm also crate trained and know a few commands. Don't let my size fool you - I consider myself a lap dog and I LOVE to cuddle.  Just one more request - I would feel more comfortable if my new house is mostly calm.  I get a little nervous if there's a lot of commotion. I'm really anxious to meet you and find my new home.  Please apply to adopt me today!  Wags and kisses, Wisteria   The suggested adoption donation for Wisteria is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
I found Arya when she was about 6 months old and she’s always been a little skittish around Men she doesn’t know but when she warms up to you she will be your shadow and when I first found her me and my family had plenty of time to take her for walks and to the park and play with her but due to changes in our lives we no longer have the time or ability to give her the amount of time and attention she needs she is currently just over a year old all I ask is that my girl goes to a good home she is a very loving dog and very very loving with children she plays great with other dogs she very rarely has accidents in the house it only happens when she gets super excited she will thrive if she has a large area to run and play

Story
Hi my name is Serreno! I am a lab/Great Pyrenees mix I am 4 almost 5 and looking for a loving home. Serreno is fully vetted and spayed. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, lay, etc. She does great with other dogs and is good with cats just very interested and curious about them ( thinking they just want to play). Sadly she does not love little kids but is great with adults... a little more timid around men but warms up quickly. She is very loyal, loving and adventurous but also enjoys being a couch potato. She does need some exercise but is not super high maintenance in that area. Serreno is also fence and kennel trained and has never attempted to run. We are looking for a home that is better environment for her and her needs.

Story
Meet Tillie! She’s 4 1/2, and a mix of primarily great pyrenees and chow (We had a wisdom panel done with dna). She’s spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and just had her teeth cleaned. She’s great with birds, cats, etc. But is more dominant with other dogs, so she does well with a more submissive dog. She has no bite history, she’s a bark and run away from strangers kind of dog. Once she warms up, good luck getting her off you. She’s fully housebroken, crate trained, and knows all basic commands (Sit, shake, down, stay). Loves car rides, doesn’t mind baths, and sits calm and still for the occasional ear cleaning. She comes with absolutely everything. All toys, leashes, bowls, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, beds, etc. As much as it breaks my heart, I just want to make sure she goes to a good home. After moving off on my own for college, I can’t keep up with her needs, as well as my own health needs. She really is a sweet dog, and just needs someone who has the time.

Story
Jasper, a Bernadoodle/Pitbull mix, was born 12/16/2023.  Jasper is very puppy-like and energetic. He will be happiest when there is another dog or cat in his home for company, however, he has not yet learned to share his toys with them.  Jasper is a smarty who already knows a few  commands (paw, sit, and outside), and he learns best when training sessions aren't overly long and if treats are involved.  He walks well on a leash, and loves to be outside so much that he views an open door as an invitation to get out and explore on his own.  His ideal home will be with a family that has a big fenced yard and plenty of time to play with him.  Jasper still needs reminders that he should not jump up on people, especially young children since he could accidently topple them.  This active and vocal young fellow may not do well in an apartment home.  If Jasper sounds like the pup to make your family complete, see below for information about adoption. The suggested adoption fee for Jasper is $365, Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##2087431##

Story
Tobi is a very sweet 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog that would thrive in a setting with a lot of attention and structure. I am unfortunately needing to rehome him because I am moving overseas due to work. He is crate trained and knows his basic commands, and would do well with an experienced owner that can really dedicate time to him as he is a fast learner and is eager to please. He does well around kids and especially large families that are able to shower him with the love he deserves. Tobi is neutered and gets along with other dogs. He has stayed in homes with cats and I have never heard anything that would indicate that he is not good with cats, however, I have never personally observed him around cats so I am not sure.
