Story
I am sponsored thank you to my anoymous sponsor for sponsoring the adoption ! Meet Johnny, a delightful Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of joy. At the shelter, he's known for his sweet disposition and playful antics. Johnny loves to explore and can often be found sniffing around, discovering new smells and sights. He's energetic and always ready for a game or a walk, but he's also independent and content to sit by your side after a day's adventure. Johnny would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving friend to add joy and excitement to their life. Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
Lulu is a Great Pyrenees mix so she is a medium sized dog. She does not get along with my other pups and it is hard to keep them separated in my small home. She loves to run and play outdoors, but I live off of two busy roads in the middle of town and she isn’t able to do so without being on a chain because she can jump my chain link fence and I am scared she will get hit if she runs! A home with no other pets or young children(because we’re unsure how she would do) would be best for her. Living somewhere with a privacy fence(that she can’t jump) or a house in the country with land to run her little out would be a perfect fit. I go on vacation in two weeks and have to find a home before I leave!!

Story
Patsy is a sweet LGD (livestock guardian dog) who was surrendered here. Originally born from a stray dog, Patsy's mother was taken in by a sweet family who got her and her many littermates their first vaccinations and found them all homes. Patsy lived with her brother in a neighbor's home until recently, but due to the owner's age, she was just unable to keep up with Patsy. So this gentle giant was surrendered here in hopes of finding a new family to belong to. Here at the shelter, Patsy, although very sweet and affectionate, is definitely unsure about being indoors. She's demonstrated to us that she's more comfortable outside given her upbringing and her breed mix (likely largely Pyrenees and Anatolian). Because of this, we are carefully searching for an indoor/outdoor home for this sweet girl. Ideally, she will have the option to come inside during extreme weather or when she feels like it, but we want her to continue to feel happy where she is most comfortable. Patsy, although still under a year old, seems to have an old soul. She's not hyperactive, and she's doing well when it comes to making new doggy friends. She tends to be calmer and more submissive when faced with any conflicts.
