Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy kidsCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: Mostly Fred Weasley truly is the definition of a gentle giant. He is a sweet, laid back pup who thrives on human affection. He is a low to medium energy dog who enjoys a romp in the yard, followed by a nap or some time chewing on his bones and deer antlers. Fred would benefit from an owner who is familiar with his breed and is dedicated to continuing his training. He has a playful demeanor and loves to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. Fred is a bouncy boy who takes cues from other dogs well and would be a perfect candidate for doggy daycare. He has not yet met a cat, but with his calm disposition he would likely be fine. Fred loves children and would do best in a home with dog savvy children. At the end of the day, he loves to snuggle up on the floor to watch a movie with his family.Fred is a smart boy who loves to show off his “sit” command for a treat (or two). While he’d rather be hanging out with you on the couch and lets you know it, he is crated occasionally throughout the day and overnight. Fred loves being part of the family and would make a great work from home buddy. He is mostly house trained, and with time and patience he will master it quickly. He enjoys walking on a leash and looks to his humans for encouragement, especially when he hears loud noises. Fred would love a patient, loving family who will be able to show him the ropes of puppyhood. Is this big ole fluffball the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Otto is a sweet pup looking for his furrever home. Otto needs to be in a home without young children as he becomes quite anxious with fast movements and loud noises. He would be best in a home as the only dog and preferably no cats as he has been a bit reactive to our two. Otto loves walks, playing fetch, running around our fenced yard, squeaky toys, bully sticks, and ear and head rubs. Otto is an active pup and would love to be with an active family who will help him to get his energy out.

Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 30, 2024, 5:09 pm

Story
My name is Ocean and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix girl that is on the smaller side of 70 pounds and I love being outdoors.   I am looking for a home with some land to run on and a family  that will let me be inside as well as outside.  I am housebroken, great with children and dogs and good on a leash.   If I want out of a chain link yard, I will make sure I find a way out.  The only fence that would completely keep me contained is a privacy fence or a six foot iron fence that I cannot climb.  I just being a free spirit and so I could see myself living in the Northeast especially where it is cold and maybe out in the country or woods where I can explore but willing to always come home. I am truly a loving and sweet girl that  you will never regret loving or adopting.  My current family adores me but their yard is small and I need more room to run and enjoy my Great Pyrenees habits of being an outdoorsy kind of breed.   If you are interested then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   I am ready to find my final family to love with all my pretty and pure heart. April 30, 2024, 5:09 pm

Story
Likeable Leo is a very handsome, one year old, 80 pound, Great Pyr boy that is crate trained and a ton of fun.  He loves to play with the other dogs in the fenced backyard and to wrestle and just enjoy the great outdoors.  Leo is so good with people, other dogs and will probably be fine with cats because he is really laidback and easy going.  You need to be sure you know about the Great Pyrenees breed and their unique personalities.  They are more reserved and like to be observers before they commit to being your friend.  Likeable Leo is losing his home because his elderly parents have had health issues and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping them to rehome all 5 of their dogs.  This boy is ready to go if you are and if you have a fenced yard.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you would like an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2024, 5:09 pm
