Story
Bambi originally came to the shelter as a stray in December 2024 at a young age (approx. 1.5 years old). She was adopted in March 2025 but was returned two weeks later because the owner "didn't have time" to properly train her (she was chewing on things she wasn't supposed to, etc.--typical of a very young dog who needs someone to provide consistent behavior training). She was then adopted a week later (April 2025) but was just returned AGAIN by her owner (May 2026) because she "wouldn't stay home". The second adopter lives in a rural area and kept Bambi outdoors, and she began following the neighborhood children home. Bambi is great dog, friendly with everyone and even likes cats! It's not Bambi's fault that she's here...honestly.

Story
Hi, I'm Bailey! 🐾 I'm a 10-month-old white and tan Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of adventure and affection to share. Already spayed, housetrained, and kennel trained, I'm ready to be part of your family — I do great with women, men, children, dogs, and cats, so even though I'm a little shy at first, I'm a social butterfly! 🌟 I'm smart, playful, and love toys and treats, which makes training a blast. Come meet this friendly girl and let's start our next adventure together! 💕

Story
Leo is a year old and was surrendered to the shelter. The person who surrendered him rescued him from another individual who had neglected him. However, after nursing Leo back to good health, the new owner had to move and could not take more than one dog with him to his new home, so it was a tearful surrender when Leo came to us. By report, Leo's sire was a black Great Pyrenees, and his dam was a black Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler mix. Leo can still be shy at first and will still need a home with an understanding owner who will remain consistent with training and PATIENCE. Leo is good with men, women, children and strangers. He is toy and food motivated. He's not the best with cats but is good around other dogs (although a proper meet-and-greet is required if you have a dog). Leo is kennel trained but still needs work with regard to housetraining. Leo LOVES to cuddle and snuggle with you! He doesn't care for thunder, vacuums or loud noises--but snuggling with you makes him feel safe! Fun facts about Leo: He does NOT like brooms and will run away from them! He is treat motivated and will eat anything! He loves to attack and chase flies (you can hear him chomping at the air!). He will try to sleep in bed with you (if you let him) because he truly does LOVE to snuggle!
