Story
Hi, I am Damsel! I am an adult Great Pyrenees Labrador Retriever mix. When I first came to ODAS, I struggled a lot with anxiety and being overstimulated, but with the help of staff, fosters, and visitors I have really come out of my shell! Tug toys are my favorite thing and I love to romp around when I get the zoomies! Treats, pets, and praise are also great ways to befriend me. I have big feelings about trucks, but I'm working on it with some help from a dedicated staff member.

Story
This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Please fill out our online dog adoption application if you are interested in adopting this pet.  Sergio is 3.5 years old, 80 pounds, neutered, up to date on all necessary vetting. His adoption fee is $175. Sergio is the gentlest giant with the kindest soul. He has been in and out of the shelter since he was a baby and it's time he found his furever home! Sergio is great with all people and dogs, and is actually a bit scared of cats. His favorite pastimes include: playing with everyone he meets, sitting on top of people to snuggle with them, and romping around the yard. If Sergio sounds like your kind of guy, apply to meet him today!February 21, 2024, 8:14 pm
