Story
Meet Áine!    With a name inspired by Irish folklore and a personality bright enough to match it, Áine is a joyful little pup ready to bring sunshine into her future family’s life. Born around 1/4/2026, this Lab/Dane/Great Pyrenees mix currently weighs about 15 pounds, but she still has plenty of growing to do. Her striking black coat with tan and white markings makes her just as beautiful as she is lovable.   Áine is the definition of puppy happiness. She’s bouncy, friendly, and always ready to greet the world with a wagging tail and a playful spirit. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you like you’re the best part of her day every single time you walk through the door, Áine has that job covered.   This smart girl is eager to learn and ready for the adventure of growing up with her new family. She’s currently working on house training and will benefit from continued obedience training as she matures. With her bright mind and happy-to-please attitude, she’s the kind of pup who will thrive with positive guidance, patience, and a pocket full of treats.   Áine enjoys moderate exercise and playtime, especially with other dogs. She’s friendly with new people and loves being part of the action. When playtime winds down, her absolute favorite reward is a good belly rub. If there’s a cozy spot on the floor and a human willing to deliver belly scratches, she’s one very happy girl.   Because she enjoys exploring and stretching her legs, Áine would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely bounce, play, and soak up the sunshine. As a Lab/Dane/Pyrenees mix, she’s likely to grow into a large, loyal companion who will fill her home with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags.   Áine is ready to bring her joyful energy, sweet nature, and endless belly-up moments to a lucky family. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup to grow up alongside your adventures, Áine might just be the perfect addition to your pack.    If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. Story
Meet Róisín!    With a name straight from the Emerald Isle and a heart just as golden, Róisín is a little bit of Irish charm wrapped up in a fluffy puppy package. Born around 1/4/2026, this Lab/Dane/Great Pyrenees mix is already sprinkling a bit of luck wherever her tiny paws wander. At about 15 pounds right now, she’s a growing girl with a soft tan coat highlighted by beautiful black and white markings.   Róisín is as sweet as they come. Affectionate, smart, and eager to please, she’s the kind of pup who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Expect a loyal little shadow following you from room to room, always ready for a cuddle, a belly rub, or a cozy nap by your side. If there were a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it would probably look a lot like this girl.   Like any young pup, Róisín is still learning the ropes. She’s currently working on house-training and will need continued obedience training as she grows. Thankfully, this clever girl is quick to learn and loves making her humans proud, so training sessions will be a wonderful way to bond (with a few treats tossed in for good measure).   Róisín has moderate exercise needs and enjoys playtime, especially with other dogs. She’s friendly when meeting new people and is ready to keep building her confidence as she explores the big world around her. Because she enjoys stretching her legs and sniffing out new adventures, she would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely romp and play.   With her mix of Lab, Dane, and Great Pyrenees, Róisín is likely to grow into a big, loyal companion with an even bigger heart. Give her love, guidance, and a little patience during her puppy days, and you’ll have a devoted best friend who greets you like you’ve just returned from a long journey across the Irish countryside.   So if you’re hoping for a little extra luck, love, and puppy kisses in your life, Róisín may just be the charming lass you’ve been searching for. :   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Eclair was found injured on the side of the road. No owner was ever found, but several people admitted seeing her roaming along the road for a couple of weeks. It was frigid and water sources were limited. Eclair was dehydrated, weak, thin, and had an injury on her hind leg when she was finally spotted and caught by someone who cared. Eclair has some food aggression towards other dogs. We haven't seen this directed towards us (people) but she will growl at another dog when she's got food around. Feed her separately and with children I'd be cautious.Eclair is very timid. She's unsure of new places, won't walk on a leash, and her method of handling scary things is just giving up and hoping things all go away. She's going to need kindness and consistency to begin to build her confidence up. The good news is she actually LOVES people. She's a total clown, does little hops, and play bows and will come up for pets...in a space she feels safe in. She was good in my car for the ride here, no car sickness and stayed in the back seat. She is estimated to be 6-8 months old and was underweight at 60 pounds. She's a big fluffy girl! At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org

Story
We have two 10 month old Great Pyrenees. Loving, but bored. They break the fence often. I think they need some land and something they can watch over. They are so smart. They have all there shots and need to stay together cause they always have been. They are not neutered. They aren’t not suppose to be until 18 month. So we have waited.
