Jack is a sweet boy. He is about 5-6 years old. He was given to us because we had a few chickens but he never took to them. He is more bonded with people. He has been an outside dog and has no manners as far as hiking leg. We have had him on a perimeter system as we have very irregular lot and cannot fence. He has been breaking his boundaries repeatedly and heading towards the highway. We live in a resort area and he cannot be allowed to roam for his safety. We are also having to move into a much smaller space due to chronic illness. We discovered shortly after getting him that he is deaf. He just needs a good family with space and patience. He loves to just sit with you. I hate to see him go but I fear for his safety going forward as well as my physical ability to keep him from harm once the vacation season starts. Plz help. Fee is negotiable if a good home is guaranteed

Ellie is a beauty! She's sweet and smart. Loves other dogs, kids and cats. She doesn't know her size so she's a little clumsy. She is the softest dog I've ever seen. She has white eyes. She has a bit of tunnel vision. She doesn't know it. She's very sensitive to yelling and banging and does flinch at your hands. A bit of trauma? I've been working with her for many months. She's pretty amazing,! She needs lots of love and property to run on. She loves to play with my little pitbull. They play rough. She's also great in the house. She really needs to be in the country. She's too large for me to walk. Although she does great on leash. She tends to walk directly in front of you but takes direction well. Must meet and screen perspective adopters. Meet Róisín! With a name straight from the Emerald Isle and a heart just as golden, Róisín is a little bit of Irish charm wrapped up in a fluffy puppy package. Born around 1/4/2026, this Lab/Dane/Great Pyrenees mix is already sprinkling a bit of luck wherever her tiny paws wander. At about 15 pounds right now, she’s a growing girl with a soft tan coat highlighted by beautiful black and white markings. Róisín is as sweet as they come. Affectionate, smart, and eager to please, she’s the kind of pup who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Expect a loyal little shadow following you from room to room, always ready for a cuddle, a belly rub, or a cozy nap by your side. If there were a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it would probably look a lot like this girl. Like any young pup, Róisín is still learning the ropes. She’s currently working on house-training and will need continued obedience training as she grows. Thankfully, this clever girl is quick to learn and loves making her humans proud, so training sessions will be a wonderful way to bond (with a few treats tossed in for good measure). Róisín has moderate exercise needs and enjoys playtime, especially with other dogs. She’s friendly when meeting new people and is ready to keep building her confidence as she explores the big world around her. Because she enjoys stretching her legs and sniffing out new adventures, she would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely romp and play. Eclair was found injured on the side of the road. No owner was ever found, but several people admitted seeing her roaming along the road for a couple of weeks. It was frigid and water sources were limited. Eclair was dehydrated, weak, thin, and had an injury on her hind leg when she was finally spotted and caught by someone who cared. Eclair has some food aggression towards other dogs. We haven't seen this directed towards us (people) but she will growl at another dog when she's got food around. Feed her separately and with children I'd be cautious.Eclair is very timid. She's unsure of new places, won't walk on a leash, and her method of handling scary things is just giving up and hoping things all go away. She's going to need kindness and consistency to begin to build her confidence up. The good news is she actually LOVES people. She's a total clown, does little hops, and play bows and will come up for pets...in a space she feels safe in. She was good in my car for the ride here, no car sickness and stayed in the back seat. She is estimated to be 6-8 months old and was underweight at 60 pounds. She's a big fluffy girl! At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters.
