Story
She is a great dog. My ex is the one who got her and we broke up half a year ago and she sold almost all the animals she had me buy, during the break up. However 2 months ago this dog made its way back on my property after being gone for four months. I have no contact with my ex, and can’t figure out what happened. She loves too learn. She never gets the attention she needs so she can act up like patrolling the streets. I have a 3 legged Shepard I have to buy special meds and food for. I’ve had the Shepard longer than I knew my ex and it is the only dog I can afford to divert all my attention too. Harlow is territorial so I do suggest a gated and fenced property and at least 5 acres but she’s a love bug, she loves her family she is good with kids and lots of farm animals. I just can’t keep buying two foods and trying to train her has been rough. My ex neglected every animal she bought and this dog was no exception. The time I’ve spent with her has proven she’s a good dog. She’s 2 btw

** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume. WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS; SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, just walk right in. Sister is about 2 yrs old and weighs about 76 lbs. Unfortunately, she came into a shelter as a stray so we have no back history, more will be known about me soon. Sister aka Meka was adopted about a month ago. Unfortunately, the 5yr old has been sick since bringing her home and tested to have horrible allergies to dog dander. She is a great companion, especially with kids. She loved and respected all the kids from different age groups. She loves walks and just being a lap dog lol she always loves a good cuddle. We had taken her many times to off leash dog parks and pet stores and she played well with other large dogs and seemed fine with smaller dogs as well. She walks pretty good on a leash considering her size. She at times was very playful with other dogs as if she was a puppy. We did not have cats so I am unsure of her acceptance of smaller non-dog animals. She never used the restroom in the house and was not confined to a kennel either. She was free to roam and was very respectful of the house rules. Meka is a really sweet girl, she seems to adore everyone and would adjust perfectly with a new family. She also rides very well in vehicles too. She respects when told NO. She sits on command and realizes she should not jump on people. She has shown NO signs of aggression while we've had her, and trust me we are a chaotic household with many people. Just make sure to close the toilet seat, we noticed she loves to run in and drink toilet water when noones looking lol. I know Meka is the perfect addition for any family and we are saddened to let her go. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet. If you are interested in Sister, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event. This pet comes with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org . This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle Sister into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday. This pet is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits, including a Healthy Start Certificate with the VCA Hospitals with a $250 health credit (restrictions apply). Adoption fee applies. Please make sure you have read the information listed on the homepage for requirements and restrictions. Foster homes & volunteers are always needed. Story
Meet Sarge: The Magnificent Guardian Seeking a Dedicated Leader Sarge is a truly magnificent sight: a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees with a striking white and tan, beautiful coat, weighing a robust 120 lbs. He is a dog of immense loyalty, presence, and a big heart waiting for the right human to lead him. Sarge is a special-needs adoption case, and we are looking for a very specific, experienced home dedicated to his success. His Ideal Kingdom: Experienced Adult-Only Home: Sarge requires an experienced dog owner with a strong, dedicated hand who is ready to commit fully to continued training and structure. Solo Ruler: Sarge must be the only pet in the household. He does not do well with other dogs, cats, or small animals. No Children: Due to his size and training needs, Sarge requires a home with no children. Private Sanctuary: He needs a secure, private yard where he can confidently guard his space without interactions with neighboring dogs. This is where he feels safe and can truly relax. Why the Effort is Worth It: Sarge is a deeply loyal guardian who is stuck waiting for a chance. He has spent too long in a boarding facility simply because we haven't found his match. When his devotion is earned, he is a confident, watchful companion who will bond deeply with his person. He needs a leader who understands the Great Pyrenees breed and is ready to give him the time and training needed to thrive. If you have experience with large working breeds, are committed to ongoing dedication, and are ready for a dog that requires structure but offers unparalleled loyalty, please consider Sarge. Interested in Sarge?
